I love the taste and the body of this wine. It tastes like a Beaujolais Nouveau. This is a great wine if you follow the instructions...mostly. In the second stage of wine making -"Stabilizing & Clearing" step 9 says to "to top up wine within 2 inches of the bottom of the airlock with water." DO NOT TOP OFF WITH WATER!!!! Add 1-2 bottles of a $5-$10 Merlot. If you top off with water it will give your wine a watery light taste that some of the other reviews have given this kit. Happy wine making!

A nice little wine,

I was quite pleased with this wine. It seems a little "thin" in the mouth, but it has a nice flavor, and is very drinkable. The instructions are clear and concise, and the ingerdients included in the kit seemed to work well together. The finished product was a nice red merlot that is remarkably clear and pleasant to the nose and mouth. I would (and probably will) purchase this product again. Four stars, but that is because it would have to be very good indeed to get five from me.

This was for a birthday gift so I had no idea if I was getting close to what friend wanted. He was very pleased, wine is making as I type. Very quick receiving time was much appreciated.
