Not what you might think...,

I bought this book thinking that it would deal with colloquial or
contemporary spoken Welsh. It is an academic book which makes use of linguistic
terms and methods beyond the scope of the modern non-academic learner of Welsh.
It would make a good reference for someone studying literary
Welsh, espcially the early modern to modern period, but I suspect
that there are other, better organized grammars than this one.
This is not a book for someone working their way through the
language, but for a serious scholar of Welsh.
