Easy way to learn Gujarati and Hindi !,

Couple of months ago I bought a super saver pack of learn Hindi and Learn Gujarati books and CD ROMs.My intention was to learn Gujarati in a short time as it will be helpful for me to communicate with my colleagues in my company. I searched for books online and found Learn Gujarati by Kirit N Shah. I found the book to be very interesting and very easy tool for learning Gujarati. This book is very useful both for beginners like me and someone who already know the language and want to master it. The book walks you through a step-by-step procedure to teach the language. I would recommend buying the CD ROM as it is based on the same book helps you to practice the words learnt by recording in your own voice. Although I already knew Hindi, I found the learn Hindi to be a useful book for reference for correct words and grammar. The Hindi poems given at the end remind of my childhood when I learned these poems at school back home in India. The learn Gujarati book has lot of interesting and useful information about India and its culture.

All I want to do is learn to speak some Gujarati phrases so that I can talk to my older relatives that don't speak English. Unfortunately this book is completely useless for that. If you want to learn to read and write in Gujarati then buy it but if you are a beginner and want to be able to learn some conversational Gujarati then get another book.
