I bought this for my daughter for Christmas and she's having a ball! The book that comes with the set is fair for someone who already knows how to knit, but difficult to understand for newbies. My mother also bought another basic knitting book that really helped. I like the craft projects in the book and the needles are just the right size for little hands to hold.

A great project for my 6 year old girl and her friends.

I bought this kit for my six year old grandaughter, to teach her to knit. I was pleasantly surprised at how much yarn is in it; and in lovely colors. It also has a nice set of short needles for little hands. It all comes in a plastic snap case to keep it all together. Even my daughter, who is a "non-crafter", was impressed. It is a good value and makes a nice gift.

The yarn is beautiful and the book is very helpful. I was able to teach my thirteen year old niece to knit. However, the kit came without the needles.
I was glad I checked before giving her the kit so I could buy and include the needles....

My granddaughter is learning to Knit. This was perfect for her and she was able to knit several items by herself

I have never knitted and bought this for my very interested 7 year old per reviews I read. I have crocheted in the past and do have the basics. The pictures are great but the instructions were a little hard to understand. Maybe a u-tube or dvd video will help those who are knitting challenged like me. My daughter lost interest while I fumbled along trying to make it through page 7.

This is a great product for the littler knitter. It has everything she needs to get started and have fun. She loved it and and I am glad that we bought it for her, plus when the projects are done she has a bag to tote her next project in...
