loved it!,
By romance lover (usa) - See all my reviews
This review is from: The Learned Lady (Regency Romance) (Paperback)
Not a long read- but a good one! I have to say that I don't see many regency romances where your heroine is a honest to goodness scientist, so that alone was intriguing. I loved how Penelope was pretty and at heart, very much like her fellow females, while not sacrificing her 'higher standards' as a scientist.
Daniel, our hero, was a very likable character. He and Penelope have great chemistry, and it doesn't happen instantly! Their love grows as they get to know each other better. There were some things i would have liked to have had explained in a little more detail...the book felt just a little too short. But better a good short book than a long bad one...and there's lots of those out there!

Another great read from Joan Overfield--par excellence!!!,
This review is from: The Learned Lady (Regency Romance) (Paperback)
I enjoyed this book very much and I am not a "regency" fan, just a reader who likes good books, with interesting ideas, fine writing, and capable characters. Joan Overfield did a super job creating a good story, and incorporating tons of research. She knows her stuff!
