Editorial Reviews

Mindless Self Indulgence (MSI) is an inflammatory band mixing influences of punk rock, hip-hop, and driving electronic music to create an unrestrained sound. Since 1997, the band has developed a rabid following of hardcore fans with the cult classic albums Tight, Frankenstein Girls Will Seem Strangely Sexy, Youll Rebel To Anything, and If.

If there is one certainty in this world, it s that MSI s fans are devoted to an almost fanatical level. This is why Mindless Self Indulgence was able to hold its own album hostage with a hugely successful kickstarter. Once the demands were met and shadowy exchanges arranged, SWAT teams were told to stand down and Mindless Self Indulgence delivered the goods.

With all that out of the way, MSI now returns to Metropolis Records with the new album How I Learned To Stop Giving a Sh*t and Love Mindless Self Indulgence. Chock-full of trademark MSI goodness, the new record proves once again that Mindless Self Indulgence is the best, and f*ck everybody else.

I have been listening to this album for weeks and I'm still not sick of it. I first heard some of these songs when their tour came to Cleveland. Favorite tracks are "Witness", "Casio", "Stalkers" and I really like the Supertramp cover of "The Logical Song". This album I consider a must buy.

Truly a lot better than their previous release. If you liked You'll Rebel to Anything, you'll like this album too. Similar themes and style. Seriously makes the previous release look bad. Overall solid. Brought back a lot of the blatantly offensive qualities of the old music that IF just ditched. On a lot of the tracks, the lyrics are once again clever, rather than just filler like I felt a lot of IF was, leaving it forgettable. However if you are looking for a throwback to Frankenstein Girls, this is not it, MSI have moved past the 1:30 explosions of offensiveness, and I guess we have to as well.

Fantastic, I've always liked mindless self indulgence, and was super excited when I saw they had out a new album. It's good album to rock out to.

I've been an MSI fan for along time now. I have all their CD's thus far, it's hard to pick a favorite but this one this one is defiantly at the top of the list. It's different than their earlier stuff, but in a good way.
