The seminal work on Learning Automata,
By David L. Stern (Hillsboro, OR USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Learning Automata: An Introduction (Hardcover)
If I could purchase only one book on the topic, this is the one I would buy. The book is an excellent source for those readers who want to understand the underlying structure of Learning Automata. In particular, convergence theorems are examined very carefully. The authors are well known and highly respected: this work serves as their key contribution to this still little understood field that had it's origins in the research labs of the former USSR in the 1950's. A must for any serious student of Stochastic Algorithms.
