My daughter kept staring at this toy in the store. I handed it to her and she would not let it go, so I had to buy it. She gets bored easily with her toys, but this particular one seemed to hold her attention. Two months later and she still likes to play with it. It is small enough to fit in her diaper bag when we are on the go, and easy enough for her to carry around everywhere. She laughs when it purs/when u pull it's tail. This toy has lots of rattles and neat things for her to grab. A definite must have.

Wonderful for 4 month old,

My 4 month old daughter just LOVES Allie Cat. She picks him up and crinkles his feet constantly because she is fascinated with the sound. Then she shakes him to hear the bells inside. The rings end up in her mouth or around her arms to hold him and knaw on the crinkly legs. The vibrating tail doesn't much phase her at this time. I think it's a great toy especially for a developing baby. Two thumbs up!

My 2 1/2 month old son likes to look at Allie, and loves it when I pull her tail because it vibrates and "purrs." Her arms and legs crinkle, and the ball jingles. Overall, it's a great toy, but I think he'll get more use out of it when he's a little bit older. I highly recommend any toy made by Lamaze because the quality is great, and the toys are fun and educational!

My daughter was pretty much frightened by this toy until about 3 or 4 months. Now, at 5 months, she loves it and chews on it and puts her lil hands through the plastic hoops. HOWEVER, be warned, the plastic triangle hook at the top got STUCK in her mouth at one point and we had to cut it off. This could've been a really dangerous moment. Lamaze should really do something about this defect in design. I believe most if not all their toys have this triangle hook thing. It IS MOST DEFINITELY small enuf to fit in a baby's mouth!!!!Having said that, I feel Lamaze toys are among the best developmental toys around and I have the musical inchworm, (the favourite! altho the music disappeared after one wash-despite manufacturing instructions okaying wash), tucker the turtle (a little undecided on this), the doublesided gym mat (close second to inchworm) AND the bringalong pals or whatever they're called!(not a favourite-neither here nor there).ooh and a couple of soft books-these are great! Back to the cat, great toy, but not for newborns...

My 4 month old just loves Allie Cat, and we bring 'Allie' everywhere we go.She loves to snuggle and bite Allie Cat while hearing the crinkle sounds from the arms and legs. Although, I do have to agree wtih the parent who mentioned the possible hazzard of the plastic triangle hook at the top of the toy. (the opening is a bit too wide)I too, cut that hook off after I found it hooked in my daughters cheeck one day. I also decided to cut the little white and black bell off of the cats collar, just in case it ever came off as that too would be dangerous. I attached a different link to Alley's wrist hoops and now we can still attach 'Allie' to anything! I will surely pick up some more cute critters!

I was given the Celeste toy first and my son liked it a lot so I decided to see what other products Lamaze had. I read all the glowing reviews on Allie Cat so I decided to take my son and see what it was like in person. When I picked the toy up and held it in front of him his eyes just lit up and he snatched the toy. I actually had to take the tag off so we could purchase it because he wouldn't let it go! He is going through his teething phase and Allie Cat is the only toy that can comfort him. I gladly recommend this toy to any mother, and especially to any mother with a premature child, like my son is. It stimulates them without being overwhelming, it's quiet and the colors will fascinate them while encouraging their developing minds! Thank you Lamaze! This toy is a godsend.

Purr-fect!,

I bought a couple Lamaze 'friends' like the Allie Cat. This particular one is my favorite. It has more to do than the others. I love the purr when you pull the tail, it sounds lifelike and vibrates. The arms and legs are stuffed with some crinkly material that makes noise, and there are different textures sounds throughout the body. The cat is super cute and the colors are bright & vibrant. No complaints so far!

My 3 1/2 month old loves this toy! She has had it a while and mostly looked at him in the beginning. But she is just now able to really grab onto the kitty. He has crinkly legs that she tries to get in her mouth, a collar bell and a ball that rattles, and he is holding plastic rings. The colors are vibrant, and he is soft all over. So many different things going on to keep her attention. Plus, he has a clip to hang from an activity bar or fasten to the stroller. She loves him!

This is the only toy I have seen my 3 month old son take a liking to. We walked by it in the store and it immediately caught his attention. He stared at it forever and enjoyed batting at it and touching it. We came back to the store a week later, and again he spotted it while passing by it and loved playing with it so much we had to buy it! Now, we bring it everywhere we go, as it settles him down when he is upset. I personally would never pick this toy out, but he seems to like the colors and sounds. The only thing I would change is that it should squeek when you squeeze him.

We got this toy cat when I was pregnant with my son. 7 years later, I'm trying to find a replacement for it because the one he's had all these years got lost when we moved this summer. He named his cat Purdy because she purrs when you pull her tail. This was a fantastic toy and when he was a little baby, the sensation of the purring toy fascinated him. He's always loved it and it definitely had long-term playability. He grew out of cuddling it for the most part, but Purdy found her way into all of his imaginative adventures, saving the galaxy or being a pirate.
