This plush doll is perfect! My 3-year-old LOVES to watch SuperWHY on TV and was absolutely thrilled when she got Princess Presto, along with the other 3 characters as well, for a gift. The toy is very durable, well made and looks just like the character on TV. Another comment had been posted that the doll was created Caucasian while the character on TV was African-American. The doll I received has much darker skin than the other 3 Super Readers and looks very much African-American, not Caucasian. So, no complaints there! Overall, very impressed.

On TV princess P is very brown. I thought it would be nice to get this doll for my little girl who is also dark brown in color and was disappointed to find that the doll's color was altered to be very light. It is already so hard to find brown dolls. I'm saddened that the manufacturers chose not to make this doll true to its color.

Before purchasing I read several reviews that the color of this doll was too light. Amazon shows two pictures one of a light colored doll and one of a dark colored doll. I was expecting to receive the light colored doll and I received the dark one. If indeed there are two colors there should be an option to choose which one you would like to order. The plush beanie seems like a good value, it is just that the coloring is all wrong. This one will be going to charity.

Looks exactly like picture. Smaller than other Super Why characters I purchased from Amazon. My grand daugher loves the show and she loved this doll.

I agree with other reviewers who commented that this doll has been made to look much lighter than the character in the show. That being said, my daughter loves it and knows who she is, and since she is only 3 she doesn't even seem to notice that the doll is lighter. I gave low ratings for fun and education because it is just a plush toy and while my daughter can play with it, she obviously isn't learning anything. As for durability the hair is starting to pull out a bit, although she hasn't officially lost any, yet, but we gave this to my daughter as a stocking stuffer 2 days ago and she doesn't play roughly with it at all or yank it around by its hair.
All in all and for the price this was a decent purchase

I just got it today and its for my nieces's christmas and i know that she is going to love it ...... it was in good condition when i got . But yeah merry christmas and happy new year 2012

Princess Presto has brown skin in the PBS cartoon. "Lightening" the skin color of this plush doll is wrong. My AA daughter and I do not appreciate it.
