This is not a book that you would sit down and read from cover to cover. It consists of 70+ exercises you work through with Publisher and the included CD-ROM of practice files. I find that this approach is much better for learning than trying to just read a book. It covers all the features of Publisher, even the advanced ones. Great for people who are hands-on learners or just want to brush up on Publisher using real examples. I guess it is designed for use in a classroom but it would work for individuals too.

I teach a publisher class and this is a great book to use as a resource! It is very detailed and explains every aspect of publisher. The only downfall is that it is very text heavy and not many pictures. You will have to do a lot of reading. But I would recommend it for beginners and advance publisher users!

I am using this book to teach Desktop Publishing at a secondary level. The step-by-step instructions are easy for the students to follow, and the practice exercises on the companion CD are very engaging. This book is not sold by the publisher in the US, so I was very pleased to be able to get it from Amazon. I like this better than any other computer text I have used so far. One warning: the book is a paperback spiral and therefore not very durable, so I would recommend covering or reinforcing it in some way.

This book was very useful. It gives you a very good overview of Publisher with enough indepth examples to allow you to create a very nice webpage from scratch.

I Would purchase any other books I could find from this publisher.

This book was purchased for a person who needs step by step instructions and so far she has reported that it is a good instruction manual.

I have used Microsoft's learning books with accompanying CDs for Excel and Word. Now I have the Office Publisher 2003 and am equally happy with it. I am able to learn how to use programs without going to class. It has been overly difficult and unproductive for me to use on-line help choices, so these books are wonderful.
The books provide ample instruction and comprehensive excercises to become adept. The excercises are fun and created in a manner that one can be content to do the minimum completions or expand on them if highly motivated. There are sequencial and comprehensive projects as well as question and answer tests ranging from true/false to essay.

I received the product in the time specified by the dealer and the quality of as expected. Very Good.
