great resource,
This review is from: A Guide for Learning and Teaching the Declaration of Independence and the US Constitution, (Learning from the Original Texts Using Classical Learning Methods of the Founders, Vol. 1) (Paperback)
I used this book in a political science class I took and I think it is an excellent resource for learning about the US Constitution, Declaration, and US history. There is no other book that explains the founding documents and history of our country in such an accurate and authentic way (I have looked). If you want to learn about the US Constitution and Declaration and our nation's roots in an accurate historical context, this is the best book out there. It uses a lot of primary source documents so you are learning US History from its actual source, rather than a history writer's opinion. The lessons in it are adaptable to any age group, children or adults. The diagrams and illustrations in it are very helpful. It also teaches and explains things in a manner so that you can teach other people about our nation's constituion and history.

This is a great guide for learning about the founding documents of the USA. The material is presented in a concise, logical, and easy to read manner. It can be used as a self-paced course, and the author uses the teaching methods which were used during the time of the founding fathers, which, even in and of itself, is informative, historical, and useful to modern readers. In a world where far too often people are ignorant of exactly how and why this great country of ours was founded, books like this are valuable resources in helping get our country back on the right track, in accordance with the great and true principles upon which it was founded. The author also uses many examples from the lives of the great men who founded our country, detailing the sacrifices they made for the good of their country and their fellow countrymen, often sacrificing their fortunes and their very lives and the safety and security of their families for their great cause for the betterment of their descendants and those yet unborn who would realize the full benefit of their sacrifices. The author provides a valuable resource here by distilling many tidbits of information from many original source documents which could only otherwise be obtained by reading all these books one by one and gleaning out the important details. A must read for anyone who wants to find out more about our nation's founders, and gain a greater appreciation of the great fundamental doctrines upon which our country was founded.

This is a great book. I have learned so much about our Constitution and our founding fathers. I think everyone in this country should read this and learn what our founding fathers had in mind when they created the constitution. With all that is going on in this country today, we really need to know this stuff. I learned that the Constitution was written in plain simple language and anyone can understand it. The author gives you all the sources that you need to really learn about this great document. I know now that this document was written In simple language for all citizens and so all could understand it. I am not a student but just a US citizen of this great country of ours.

First and foremost, this book is flooded with typoes and grammatical errors; there is at least one on each page! Second, I'm surprised that my teacher uses this book to work out of. Assignments are somewhat tedious and lack of design makes for a boring read; however there are some good lessons and written material regarding our founding documents
