Young Tamsin, who is painted as a supposed shrinking wallflower, gets a photographic assignemt in LA for a new boo. While in LA she will be staying with her supporter for the project, Leandra and her husband Nigel. Tamsin however feels that her lack of sexual experience may hinder her professionally and she was looking foreward to her USA trip to help her become sexually educated.

Well the premise is good and this looked like exciting erotica material except for the fact that the book prcaticaly falls appart from the get go. Before we get to page 9, our heroine is stripping in the bedroom with her best friend, a lesbian, and
Marcus, a hunky dancer. They spend the afternoon showing Tamsin a pile, and I mean a pile of sex toys, that are all used and applied on our heroine.

Certainly not much erotica when all the characters in the book are prctically frothing at the mouth to strip naked and get down and dirty .... Probably better as a Pentouse letter ... not even a good one at that ... sorry

This novel gives a whole new meaning to the word "terrible." Tamsin is a young British photographer who has been given the opportunity to work on a book of nude photos in Los Angeles with the uninhibited, wanton Leandra. Tamsin is supposedly inexperienced and somewhat repressed -- something she does not want Leandra to know. So she sets out to be part of exploit after exploit and in doing so she discovers her sexuality... Blah blah blah.

The premise seemed promising, but the actual story left a lot to be desired (so to speak). The main problem with this novel is that Tamsin is supposed to be a woman who lacks experience. The aforementioned inexperience is hardly believable when she takes her clothes off and does things at the drop of a hat. I hate it when authors do this. Black Lace books are novels for women who shatter their innermost inhibitions, but few authors fail to do this in a realistic way. How do they expect readers to believe that a repressed person would open up to explicit sexual situations without giving it a second thought? At least make the transformation slow and remotely relatable. I know erotica is supposed to be read for fantasy and escapism, but I nevertheless expect a well-told story at the very least. This one just doesn't cut it. I learned the hard way that this is one of the worst Black Lace books out there.

So far, the other people who reviewed this book weren't to into it. The other reviews cover the basic storyline pretty well, so I would read those for an overview.

I really loved this book. I loved how it takes you on the journey of a complete wall flower who discovers her sexuality, embraces it and then ultimately owns it. I also REALLY love the BDSM sex scenes in this book. Their super sexy and just a bit raunchy. This book is great for people who like their erotica to be a little bit more hardcore. None of this, "I unleashed his throbbing manhood from its denim prison..." junk. It's what [......] dialogue SHOULD be, without all the corniness.
