I bought this book for myself because i have comprehension problemswhen reading. It was a very uplifting and helpful book on Learning How To Learn. I took notes as I read the book and recorded my drills also. This book is very quick and easy reading. I plan to use it with my grandchildren when they become of school age. Although this is an elementary book, I would recommend it to anyone who needs help reading and learning. I look forward to purchasing more books from the same line.

I think that this is a major breakthrough for learning and should be used in all school curiculums.

I bought this book for my 13 year old who has always stuggled academically and socially. However, now that she's in middle school it bothers her more and more. One of the issues I've noticed is that she doesn't have a good understanding of what she reads or hears. Miscommunication, social mis-steps and frustration typify the way she interacts with the world. One of the techniques described in the book teaches kids how to use a dictionary AND find mass for each word. You can see her "lights come on" when she does this. Kinda like, "Oh, that's what it is!" It's funny...she hates reading. But she'll read this book. And when I bought her a picture dictionary she wouldn't put it down! It was as if a whole new world opened up. She walked around reading definitions out loud. Her grades in English have gone from a D to an A in one school term. So we'll likely use more of LRH's study material.

Learning How To Learn,

I never cease to be amazed at the effectiveness of the simple tools included in this book.My son was labeled hyperactive and prescribed Ritalyn which I was very much against. I struggled through this problem from the time he was 3 until he was 14. What a revelation when we discovered this technology! The three barriers to study found in the book were the key to the solution. The Hollywood Education and Literacy Project in Miami uses this technology to improve students academic performance. Parents' and students' success stories keep pouring in. The families at HELP Miami come from middle and high class schools. Students have study problems everywhere. It makes no difference. My son is now a calm dedicated individual and can tackle any subject without fear.

Best book on Study Technology.,
This review is from: Learning How to Learn (Paperback)
I would recommend this book to all parents. Any kid who is struggling in school can learn and apply the techniques of finding "barriers" in his/her study and overcome such barriers. My kids are applying what they have learnt in this book. Now when they read their school material they understand what they study. Thanks LRH.

For Children or Adults with learning problems,
By Andy Wilson "whizkid" (Los Angeles) - See all my reviews

I used this study method for my children, and it really works. Simple, effective and absolutely workable. My kids ended up with an excellent educution. Be prepared! You will need to get them a dictionary that is simple! But once they can look up word definitions there is no stopping them. I highly recommend the book for parents concerned about their children's education. It also helps kids avoid the pitfalls of falling behind in school. Believe me, your children are smart. It is the teaching method used in schools right now that creates the problem. This book circumvents it and you can use it at home, or if you are home schooling your child(ren).

The first book in education,
By Jane James "homeschoolmum" (California) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Learning How to Learn (Hardcover)
This is the first piece of "curriculum" I teach my children once they know how to read. I don't know what I would have done without this book!Ever get to the bottom of the page and can't recall what you just read? Or do your eyes ever start to hurt when studying? Ever get confused about something you're trying to learn? Does your child ever experience these problems in his or her schooling? The causes of these problems may not be what you expect - and the solution for each situation is so simple and effective! This book has been so helpful to me in teaching my children, that I credit it with the fact that my son (who is 9) can read anything he wants. Currently he is reading Where the Red Fern Grows, which is generally read by teenagers. My 8 year old is reading Little House on the Prairie and she, too, has had great success in applying the techniques set forth in Learning How to Learn in her own study. If you only purchase one book for your child's education, let it be this one.

Learning how to learn,

There is nothing that is more important to any body's survival than to be able to learn. This ability is not only important for our kids but for anyone of us, if only to keep up with current technology. This technology will get you to be able to eradicate the barriers that exist between you and the ability to study. I have recovered the ability to study through this technology and I am extremely grateful to L Ron Hubbard for this. It is very much worth the investment!
