Learning Language Arts Through Literature,
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Learning Language Arts Through Literature: The Purple Book (5th Grade) (Paperback)
LLATL is a fantastic curriculum. Our family has been using it now for three years with children from 1st - 7th grade. The companion books are all great pieces of literature that my sons and daughter have enjoyed reading. I appreciate that it is well organized, requires little preparation, and builds upon itself every year. Our children understand and enjoy the lessons. Our youngest son, now in third grade told me "This would be a great workbook for someone who doesn't know about God to learn all about Him." I love that moral values are woven into the very fiber of LLATL, and that my children are seeing that as well.

Excellent Language Arts Curriculum,
This review is from: Learning Language Arts Through Literature: The Purple Book (5th Grade) (Paperback)
We started using this curriculum when my 8th grader was in 6th grade. Now I am using it for my 4th and 5th graders too. It is very well organized. My children love to read. So it was a great way to make spelling and grammar lessons fit with the scope and sequence at each grade level. The booklist, most of which could be found at the library, includes Christian literature, classics, and bible passages that my children enjoy. It is very affordable compared to other curriculum.
