About the Author
Joyanne Cobb brings a unique perspective to this book because of her own college experience as a student with a learning disability. She successfully completed her undergraduate and graduate studies at George Washington University, Washington, DC and is now site manager for MAXIMUS Inc. As a licensed vocational rehabilitation provider, she manages a project funded by the Social Security Administration to provide vocational and psychological services to SSI recipient youth. As a consultant, Cobb presents seminars and workshops on employment issues related to the disabled in the workplace. She also provides academic and vocational counseling, consulting, and accommodation assessments for the disabled in transition.
