About the Author
Former resource teacher and pediatric occupational therapist with experience with children for more than 30 years. Also the parent of 3 "learning challenged" children who have all gone to college and become independent. One of the 1st Federally funded resource teachers, received training in sensory integration from Dr. Jean Ayres, trained and mentored other occupational therapists to work in schools, therapist of the year from Advanced Rehabilitation Services, Who' who of American women 1979, Outstanding Personality of America for services to the handicapped- 1980,and Outstanding Occupational Therapy Educator from the state of South Carolina.
