Even when this play food is repeatedly bitten, you won't see teeth marks. The food is realistic and very durable. Some of our pieces were even taken into the bathtub, and they dried out easily--no water stuck inside.

I searched high and low for play food, and even bought one of the cheap 100-piece deals, which I promptly gave away. Learning Resources has made this food look so real, it's really impressive.

This set is very cute. It seems pretty durable, although my 1 yr. old threw the orange juice cup across the room, and the "juice" came unattached from the cup. Nothing a little super glue couldn't fix. I like this better than the 100 piece sets of tiny junk that always end up underfoot.

I purchased this set (as part of a larger set ... Learning Resources - Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner Foods, Set of 44) almost 5 years ago from Amazon. (You can click on the link and read my review of that set.) I really like the quality of the Learning Resources food because it LASTS (unlike many other brands). My one word of caution is this BREAKFAST set is NOT for children under 3. The BUTTER pieces and the STRAWBERRIES are CHOKING HAZARDS. Even the muffin is small. If you are looking for bigger pieces of food (which is also made of pliable/soft plastic ... like the pancake and egg), the Learning Resources Lunch Foods, Set of 17 (Colors May Vary) or Learning Resources Dinner Foods, Set of 11 (Colors May Vary) would be better options. As I said, I purchased ALL three sets (BREAKFAST, LUNCH and DINNER) 5 years ago for under seven dollars ... definitely has been one of my great finds on Amazon. (NOTE: If you are unsure if an item is the size that can present a choking hazard, a good rule to follow is if you can drop it down a toilet paper roll, then it is a choking hazard.)

My grandchildren have had a ball playing with this food. The only drawback is the butter isn't actually on the pancake so I have to put it up so my youngest grandsons won't try and eat it.

I purchased this to go along with the mini kitchen set I purchased for my son this Christmas. This was a big hit! He loves to make me breakfast.

This is the third set of food we've ordered from Learning Resources. We also have "Healthy Lunch" and "Healthy Dinner". The quality of Learning Resources play food is great! I will say that of the 3 sets we own, the breakfast is the least impressive. The food just doesn't look quite as realistic as their lunch and dinner food. However, compared to other play foods on the market, it is a much better quality. When buying play food for our girl's kitchen, I like to buy realistic food that will last. This is definitely a great product overall.

Another gift for the granddaughter's kitchen & playhouse. She enjoys playing pretend and this is perfect for her. She loves being able to "prepare & feed" her babies.

I purchased these to go with a play kitchen my kids were given. When I received them I couldn't believe how real the items looked. The bacon looked more real than my teenage daughters veggie bacon. I have a toddler and preschooler who play with these and are not to gentile. They hold up wonderfully. This is a must buy for your little ones.

I bought this for my 2 year old grand-daughter, but her 4 and 7 year old cousins enjoy playing with it as much as she does. They brought the adults various breakfasts to "sample" throughout the Christmas holidays. The food pieces are cute, durable and imaginative - the kids delighted in coming up with fun combinations.
