This item is well worth it's money! Even after reading the other reviews I decided to give the Time Tracker Tags a try and I'm so glad I did.

Yes, SOMETIMES you have to adjust the tags in the unit to get them to connect, but we have the same trouble with our Wii remote charger and it's no big deal that it takes 2 extra seconds out of your day.

We use our tags multiple times throughout the day:
* Each kid gets three 30 minute sessions on the Wii, Computer, or TV (their choice). I love that mom and dad are no longer the 'bad guy' for telling them their time is up!

* We use them for tracking reading time and love that we don't have to hear, "Mom, how much longer do I have to read?"

* We've used them for kids in 'think time' so they knew when they could come back and play.

* We've even sent one of our children out to play at a friends and told him to be back once the buzzer rang in time for dinner.


Over-all, I love this product. With 4 kids ranging from 18mos to 10 years old, these tags have been tossed around and are still in-tact. I especially love that they help cause less arguing and contention in our home. Everyone who comes to our house comments on what a great idea these are.

***One more thing, don't bother purchasing the seperate power supply. It already comes with one.

I am a school nurse and bought this myself for my office. I have three cots for kids to rest when they don't feel well, and when I get busy with a lot of kids coming in and out of the office, sometimes kids are lying down longer than I intended and miss too much class time. I pull a timer when they go to rest and then tell them when it alarms to bring it back up. I then recheck them and send them on their way (either home with parents or back to class). I know this is not meant for this kind of use, but it really works well.

I bought this to help my kids stay on task, but we never got to use it long enough for us to find out. I purchased one and the display panel didn't display all the information and one of the tags didn't beep at all, so I was sent another which all seemed to work. This unit only lasted several weeks before one of the tags wouldn't stop beeping unless we took out the batteries and the display turned to gibberish.

I bought this set to use with my kids whom I homeschool. It works fine and helps to keep them on task...Its not a miracle worker but nice and has helped. They also use to it keep track of how long they are taking on a chore, reading etc.....Got it in a timely manner..packaged well...not broken..Its Jan and still not broken...hurray....6 kids break alot...

My kids love the timers. We use them for school work and for household tasks and they look at it as a game. The timers can be temperamental with the base. I would recommend them with a reservation that you need to be patient and carful with the function of them.

Our family eagerly awaited the arrival of the time tracker, but it was soon evident that the product does not live up to its claims.
- The time in each tracker is not calibrated equally. If you set all three at the same time and start them all simultaniously, there is about a 20 second difference in each unit.
- There are no time re-set button. If you want to set for 15 minutes after a setting of 20 minutes, you have to go through a whole 60 minute cycle before it allowes you to get to 15.
- We have to constantly push a re- program button on the back of our red unit as it does weird things on its own and gets "stuck".
- The beeping loud sound on the high sound setting is very short and quiet.
- We may of gotten a defective unit, and waited past the 30 day return policy guideline.

I bought this product to keep my (three) school age kiddos on track and on task. It was the perfect number of timers and it has been a household changing experience! They work hard to get things done in the alloted time and it helps me monitor tv and computer time for each child.
The only thing missing on this tool is a pause button for breaks or other interruptions etc. when they are on their timer. It does take several batteries, but I have not had to replace yet. I've had it about a month.

Love the idea of these time trackers but the product itself has been touchy since the day we got it. It constantly buzzes or the display won't work. I should have returned it immediately but now it's out of the return window. After 3.5 months stopped working entirely. Two stars only because customer service from Learning Resources is sending us a replacement and they were extremely nice. Definitely too expensive for a product that just doesn't function well.

I use these tags when we "do school". I'll send one of my kids out of the room for "recess" while I work with my other. The child on recess knows exactly when to come back, as do I. I also use these when my kids want to earn time for video games. Neither my husband nor I have to be the bad guy when "time is up" which is also a big plus. Highly recommend.

i had my first set of timers for 1 week and the green one shorted out on me - i either didn't time, or it buzzed constantly. i exchanged the product for a new one and have had it for about a month and now the yellow one doesn't work. it doesn't buzz like the green did, it just doesn't work. i called amazon and they are sending me one more set (they gave me the choice of refund of timers - i decided on one more try because when they work they are great)...if you buy them, just beware that they are cheep and temperamental and if they do short out, replace it before your warranty or 30 day option thing expires.
