5.0 out of 5 stars Awesome Toy, Still Going After 12 Years
I was so excited to see that they still make and sell this toy. I bought this toy for my son when he was 3. That was back in 1996 and now 12 years later, our 3rd & 4th child are still playing with the same toy. It has never been packed up, it has always been a favorite toy, and we have even been able to find accessory kits for it which have just added to the fun...

3.0 out of 5 stars Cheap
My son got this for his 4th birthday and right away I knew we were going to have to super glue some of the pieces together. Even with the help of the glue this thing is constantly falling apart. Yes, it gets played with, but I expected a much better quality for the money I paid. If I had to do it again, I would not buy this toy. Try the odyssey toys instead.

I was so excited to see that they still make and sell this toy. I bought this toy for my son when he was 3. It has never been packed up, it has always been a favorite toy, and we have even been able to find accessory kits for it which have just added to the fun. Nieces and Nephews have also enjoyed playing with it while visiting. It has survived 12 years of just about every kind of play imaginable, it has been dropped down the stairs, brought outside, tossed in the toy box, etc. We have not had any real problems with the toy. One of the doors on the land rover popped off once, but it popped right back on and hasn't come off again. Also the red door that folds down on the side of the building popped off once, but that too, popped back on and has stayed in place. We have had years of enjoyment with this toy.

5.0 out of 5 stars Big hit in preschool class, March 15, 2009

Our preschool class of 3 - 5 year olds were learning about space and astronauts. I purchased the Space Station, in addition to numerous other space related toys/puzzles/books, etc. This was by far the favorite item in the class. As a matter of fact, I decided to buy two of these because it was so popular. We didn't have any problems with durability and we have 16 children playing with this in our class. The Space Station is well worth the money if you would like to begin to teach your child, grandchild, or students about space exploration at a young age.

We just got this toy for Christmas, and instantly it was a hit with my 3 yr old. I had also bought him a Lego Duplo Police Station set for Christmas and he is 100 percent more drawn to this space station than he is to his Duplo. He loves the Landrover and the Space Shuttle the most, and likes to make the guys ride in the back of the landrover. The set comes with 4 space guys - 2 red, and 2 green, and their heads and arms are movable. They have an opening in the bottom to accommodate them staying in place once you pop them onto the posts that are in each of the vehicles/shuttles. There is also a decompression chamber that has blue transparent "doors" that open upwards and you can stick the space guys in there. In the back there are red plastic sliding doors. It also has a manual "robotic" (as they call it) arm that opens and closes and my son loves to pick up cardboard and other stuff with it.

4.0 out of 5 stars A Great Space Toy, December 25, 2007

We were very pleased with this space station. My nearly four-year-old daughter is finding a lot of ways to play with it and I do not find it to be poorly made. Maybe very rough play would break it but so far it seems sturdy and really offers a lot of ways to be creative.

My son got this for his 3rd birthday. It is not well made and fell apart easily. We were constantly having to put it back together for him. Now a year later and he doesn't play with it anymore. The red door won't go back on.

3.0 out of 5 stars Great idea, fun toy, but falls apart., August 7, 2007
= Durability:2.0 out of 5 stars  = Fun:3.0 out of 5 stars  = Educational:4.0 out of 5 stars
My space-obsessed son got this for his 3rd birthday last year. He was so excited and played with it a lot at first. However, it is very cheaply made and the doors and parts have to be continuously put back together. After awhile the red door wouldn't even stay on. The stickers peeled off early on as well. It's a great idea for a toy, but it could have been better made. I do not think it was worth the price.

This toy is very cute but can not be played with. It falls apart every 2 seconds and I do not have rough kids. They love this type of toy, but have lost interest in playing with it as the pieces you need to assemble do not stay on. (Kids can not put them back together as they are meant to click together "permenently") The plastic is the lowest grade possible. It feels like recycles aspirin bottles.
This company should be ashamed for making such a shoddily made product.

Received this toy as a gift and my 2 year old LOVES it! Some of the things are hard for her to do at this point, but she really enjoys the set. I also think it's a great little toy, from the launch pad to the vehicle that stores nicely inside.

This toy is fun and educational for my grandchild. The plastic is a little flimsy but worth the money overall.
