Product Description

Amazon.com

This 13-piece, molded plastic toolkit housed in a lightweight, easy-open carrying case offers wannabe builders and home repair players a dizzying array of fancy equipment from which to proceed. The most dazzling delight is a pretend "power drill" with trigger action and a whirring drill bit, which--for kids, if not parents--is fantastic in its likeness. (A blessing in disguise: after a few hours of extremely rough use by our 5-year-old "tester," the drill's trigger mechanism started to falter, requiring very careful action in order for it to operate.) There is a 36-inch tape measurer with locking action, a saw that makes a crackling noise, a socket wrench with an adjustable mouth, a screwdriver with alternating heads, a level, pliers, a T-square, and more. There's so much to pack and unpack, so many ways to measure and attack projects, and with moving parts on almost every tool, it's no wonder our tester eventually labeled this toy "the most handy-dandy tool kit I've ever seen." No batteries or assembly required.

Product Description

The Pretend and Play Tool Set has everything young builders need to set up shop! This entertaining 13-piece set features a screwdriver with three changeable bits, tape measure, hammer, action drill, and wrench in a plastic tool case that measures approximately 14" x 11."

ADORABLE! January 3, 2007
I purchased this for our 3 and 5 year old daughters for Xmas. Thanks to "Handy Manny" they decided they needed their own tools...I was shocked! After searching for quite awhile, I decided to purchase these because they seemed to be much nicer than most. I was thrilled with the tools and "toolbox", (or case)...That is sturdy, as well as the tools. The tape measure isn't the greatest, but serves its purpose. Colors are nice and vivid, very cute!!

Durability:    Educational:    Fun:
We bought this for our son for his 2nd birthday because he's been very interested in Daddy's tools and of course he can't use those. He absolutely loves it. Now whenever Daddy has his tools out to fix something, our son gets his and chooses the same tool that Daddy is using and "helps". He can use most of the tools on his own, although he needs help with the tape measure; it's a little small for his hands to wind up. This toy has tremendous play value and it even keeps him occupied on long road trips in the car.

Durability:    Educational:    Fun:
Received the tool set today and was checking it out before wrapping it up for my daughters birthday. Like the previous reviewer, my 4 year old daughter is also a huge Handy Manny fan and is constantly digging through my toolbox.

The tools included in the play set are sturdy and nicely made (with the exception of the level). However, the case which holds the tools will be lucky to last a week. Upon initial inspection, the paper thin plastic that holds the tools in place was already detached from the outer casing and a few spots will be ripped open soon.

Three stars overall because my daughter will love playing with the tools.

Tool Set Not as "Handy" as expected...
Not as excited about this set as I thought I would be...he's already tired of it and the interior lining of the case fell out right away. Maybe he'll enjoy it more later on.

Tool Time
These toys are fun and educational at the same time. I am sure my child will enjoy them for years to come. The tool box could be made a little easier for young children to work.
