I was rather surprised when I got this.... I really and honestly thought it would be just some cheap little paper booklet that would become soon demolished, but hoped it would last for the summer. To my surprise it is a bit more sturdy and the games in it are engaging enough for my 6 year old while still fun enough to keep his attention span! Amazing! Fun and Learning! For the price, how can you go wrong?



It covers the basic phonics and builds vocabulary the more you play. I wouldn't recommend it for the only phonics tool - but great for adding on to what you kindergartener - 2nd grader is learning (or already learned) or as an addition to the day for your little home schooler.

There are so many good games inside this package! I bought this for a first grade classroom. I did separate pieces and put them in small ziplocks because the pockets of the boards would not last- not with all those little hands shoving in and out of the small pockets! Each game comes with the rules printed on its playing board, and each game is easily adjusted for individual learning-great pluses! One problem-if I want children to play a certain game for independent work, the children actually have 2 games to choose from-both sides of the playing board. This works for home, but in school, where I bought the games for, some children -not all :) , want to play whatever they want and will unless I am policing. And this lowers the independence of the center. I would recommend this board book of phonics games as an inexpensive way to acquire many games.
