I got this for my grandson to play with when he comes over and he loves it! I got this along with a couple of the other sets and some plates, bowls, utensils. He is three and will play a long time with this food. He sometimes puts it in his mouth, which I wish he wouldn't do, but that's kids for you. I always am hopeful there's nothing toxic on the coating and I've washed these by hand. None of the color has come off yet. The carrots from one of the sets are quite small and could be a choking hazard for younger kids. These foods are very durable and look like they could last a long, long time!!

I thought the price was high for play food until comparing it to other "cheaper" food. I realized that the quality is actually much higher and indeed worth the money. I like that the play food models healthy foods- fight obesity and teach kids to develop nutritious eating habits- and that it is so incredibly durable made from vinyl material guaranteed to last where other play foods are from cheap plastic and could probably easily be destructed... depending on the kid...I definitely recommend it! Oh and it looks incredibly realistic, when my daughter saw it she bit into a carrot and looked confused until I told her it was for playing and not eating- so much for telling her not to play with her food!!

My daughter has lots of play food, but this is by far the best. It gets her accustomed to associating fruits & vegetables with meals & snacks and making healthy food & drink choices more of a norm. The spaghetti is her favorite, since the sauce with meatballs is seperate from the pile of spaghetti, so she can "fix" it herself. She also even has fun with the basket it all comes in when she plays grocery store (selecting fruits and vegetables, of course). Kids loose interest in their toys so quickly, but this is one she consistently plays with over and over again. I also highly recommend the breakfast and lunch sets, too. The quality in these toys far exceeds that of her other play food, making it really stand out from the rest. Two big thumbs up!
