5.0 out of 5 stars Great toy for early bakers!
My 3 year old daughter loves playing with the baking set. It is very sturdy. She likes to use it in combination with her play food. One minor thing...the velcro came off on one side of the strawberry but overall, I would recommend it! I have had great success with all of the Learning Resources food sets that I have purchased so far.

3.0 out of 5 stars Cute but beware of paint flecks
This is a darling set and my kids both love playing with all the pieces. My only complaint is this: One day my toddler had one of the apple pieces half way in her mouth and was licking it. I told her to take it out and then I noticed she had green paint flecks all over her mouth. I was not impressed.

This was purchased for my four year old who loves to play kitchen and it has made her pretend play even more fun. There are four shaped cookies that fit into holes in the cookie dough. Use the rolling pin to roll out the dough and the suction cup cookie cutter to place the cookies onto the cookie sheet. The cookie cutter is a great idea, but has trouble sticking to two of our cookies because they aren't completely flat. This really hasn't been an issue though. The pie tops come off so that you can put the fruit inside. The egg has been a big hit even though it is hard to close the shell with the egg inside. She still loves cracking it into the bowl and using the measuring cup and spoons to pretend to make something. The bread is also a favorite, especially being able to cut it apart with the knife (the slices attach with velcro). Overall, this has been a very fun set and is the most played with out of her kitchen things. I was impressed with the variety and durability of the set as well as the fact that it is realistic for pretend play. I would highly recommend it.

This toy is super fun! My kids are 5, 3 1/2 and 2 and they all love it! My only issue is that the bread is very thin, hollow plastic and is almost impossible to "cut"- and the apple and peach slice are also not great quality. The paint on the edges is already almost all scraped off and it's been in use for 1 day.
However, the cookies, bowl, egg, pie etc are all awesome! I would definitely buy this again! Eventhough some parts are really bad quality, it's still a great set! The cookies are a favorite for all of us!

If you have a child that loves baking, then this is the perfect set! I have this and my kids love it and their friends love it as well. They all especially enjoy the cookies on the cookie sheet. Great for imaginative play, learning shapes and colors. I have a lot of the Learning Resources food sets and they are favorites with all the kids.

This bakery set is great! It's a better quality than I expected, too. The cookies can help learn color and shape. The measuring spoons and cup teach numbers and measuring. The act of "cooking" encourages imagination, creativity, patience (waiting for cookies to bake), and my 2 (now 3) year old looooves it! He can mix (his FAVE), cook, serve, clean up...

My two year old LOVES this baking set. She loves to help me in the kitchen, so this is perfect for her. I gave 4 stars on durability because some of the paint on the fruit slices did chip off. Kind of concerns me, but the set is awesome enough that it out-weighs that concern. The strawberry has velcro so it can be "cut" in half (only half of the strawberry fits into the pie). The egg yolk doesn't actually fit into the egg shell like I thought it would, but my daughter has a blast cracking the egg anyway. She isn't able to fit the two halves of the shell back together yet though, so I do have to help her with that each time she cracks it. Overall, we love this set and would purchase it again!

My daughter loves to pretend that she's cutting out cookies - without all the mess. It's a great pretend play toy.

This toy is the kids favorite out of a whole chest of toys. They (2&4) love pretending to bake and distributing the cookies. We use the box as a pretend oven since they need to cook them first. Only complaint is the squishy bread-- the velcro tore off on the first use. That's been our only casulty so far and this toy have been played with quite a bit!

My daughter received this from Santa this past year just before turning three. She doesn't play with everything that came with it but she does love the cookies. We had made Christmas cookies just before Christmas and she loved rolling the dough and using cookie cutters. With this set you can act like you are rolling the dough and use a suction cup device to remove your cookie shapes from the dough. That in itself makes this a good purchase. Can't comment much on the other pieces but will say that the bread is pretty flimsy. Would still purchase again.
