5.0 out of 5 stars Great realistic play food!
I chose this for our 5 year-old daughter, and we couldn't be more pleased with the quality. Durable and so realistic! We also like the fact that this selection is "healthy" foods. I have already been served several sandwiches with milk and celery, and she has only had the set 2 days. Great value!

2.0 out of 5 stars Stinky Plastic!!
My son absolutely LOVES playing with this toy, however, I can't stand it since the plastic smell is very strong. I've tried leaving it outside overnight a few times, but it still smells. Too bad I'm going to have to find a replacement for this toy, since I can't stand the smell. At least we can keep the shopping basket. . .

My daughter has lots of play food, but this is by far the best. It gets her accustomed to associating fruits & vegetables with meals & snacks and making healthy food & drink choices more of a norm. I especially appreciate the wheat bread. Everyone pushes cheap, white bread on our kids, and I like that when she puts together a sandwich (made from really well made play food), she gets used to using wheat bread and adding nice green lettuce and bright tomatoes. We now have to have lettuce added to her Happy Meal burgers when we go to McDonalds, and I LOVE that! She also even has fun with the basket it all comes in when she plays grocery store (selecting fruits and vegetables, of course). Kids loose interest in their toys so quickly, but this is one she consistently plays with over and over again. I also highly recommend the breakfast and dinner sets, too. The quality in these toys far exceeds that of her other play food, making it really stand out from the rest. Two big thumbs up!

I purchased this for my 2 1/2 year old son. He has had it for six months and still loves playing with this set in his playhouse. The food is durable and healthy food choices. I recommend this set.

We gave this to our church nursery with the Healthy Breakfast set. The 18 mos-3 yo kids just love it. It gets played with every week. It has held up fabulously. I bought the huge 90 pc set for my 3yo DD. She just loves playing with all the food. I was back and forth trying to decide between this food and Haba wooden food. I am glad I chose this. It's wonderful, durable and realistic. My daughter prefers it over the Melissa and Doug wooden food she has.

This set is great because it enhances my daughter's understanding of what eating healthy means. I have all 3 sets: breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and they are all of excellent quality and will last a long time.

I bought this as a gift for my 18 month old daughter who is starting to love to play with kitchen set. The little basket was perfect for her to carry everything in and all of the play food is realistic and fun. This product is totally worth the price and will always recommend this product.

I guess you could say I'm a play food fanatic. I've always loved play food! So when we got our daughter a play kitchen for Christmas last year, I didn't want to get junky looking food. After much searching, we settled on Learning Resources. It's fantastic! Very realistic looking. I love that they offer the "healthy" options. Gives us the opportunity to pretend play with food we actually eat- and encourages conversations about healthy eating. We have been playing with this food on an almost daily basis for a whole year, and we still love it.

my 3yo son really seems interested in "cooking" and many times i can diffuse a temper tantrum by asking him to "go fix mom a meal please - i'm hungry". we have several pretend play food items but his favorite is making me a sandwich from the items in this kit!

the product is exactly as described and has held up well over the past few months. (my son has even put some of the items in the bath tub)

i have no complaints and love that it contains healthy food to reinforce healthy eating habits.

this would be a great gift for any toddler or preschooler.
