It's by far, the best play food I've seen.

They pretend to go shopping, they love to pile everything in the basket and just carry it around.

Play food - marvellous stuff. My daughters love it. They use it for tea parties, to learn fruit and vegetable name/colours/shapes. They pretend to go shopping, they love to pile everything in the basket and just carry it around. They feed fruit to their teddys and dolls and to me. There is so much you can do with play food - they use their imagination to play the game and I no longer find food missing from our fruit bowl or vegetable crisper in toy boxes!
All the fruit and vegetables fit in this basket and can be easily carried around. The fruit and vegetables are made of strong plastic and have held up quite well despite being thrown, stood on, chewed and thrown in the bath. Easy to wash in warm soapy water to keep clean.

I was very pleased with this toy. The veggies, with the exception of the lettuce, are life sized. They are durable, realistic and colorful. My 18 mo. old daughter put them to use right away, naming the veggies and fruits and then feeding them to her doll.
I am very pleased with this product. Out of all of the pretend food that is out there, this is the best that I have seen by far.

Don't get me wrong-I LOVE THIS TOY!!! (and so does my 18M old daughter) but I did notice that a few of the fruit pieces were less durable than others. Specifically, the pear arrived to me already crushed (made from very thin plastic) and the banana seems like the next one to "deflate". But most of the fruits are made from much thicker, stronger plastic. The basket is adorable and the fruit and vegetables are very realistic looking. Even without the pear, it provides my daughter hours of fun!

Very realistic looking food, I was surprised at how true to size the food was. My daughter enjoys playing with the food and shopping basket every day. She received them as a gift when she was 20 months. There are no choking hazaards that I can see so I disagree with the mfr's rec age. The food is very durable too.

I purchased this item to go along with a play kitchen that we got for our daughter's 2nd birthday, but I am disappointed by the fruit and veggies. Some of them (strawberries, apple & red onion) have large circular marks on them as if they were resting on a tube to dry when created. This takes away from the authentic look of it. I also agree with the other reviewer about the discoloration of some of the fruits and veggies. The tomato is more orange/yellow than red. My green pear is perfectly freckled with little brown dots, except for the big red splotch on the side. The celery also doesn't look quite right. All are made of a hard plastic, and I just hope, with my daughter being as rough as she is, that they don't crack when she throws them around. For the price I paid (about $20), I'd like to see a better quality product.
I do like how the toys are actual size (lettuce being the exception), and I like how they can be easily cleaned. They work well enough for teaching a child about fruits and veggies, and they are great for play kitchens.
In spite of my disappointment, my daughter loves them. She enjoys carrying them around in the basket, and sometimes even her little shopping cart.
Overall, I would've probably went with a different product.

This is absolutely the best play food ever! The pieces are so realistic, they're better than the ones you find in craft stores. The hard plastic is great for all of life's hard knocks and the basket is perfect for hauling them all over the place.

I removed the strawberries as a choking hazard, and my 18-month-old LOVES to play with this toy, is learning to name the fruit, and carries the basket everywhere.

This is a wonderful product! I bought this for my daughter when she was 1 year old and she plays with it constantly! The food is very realistic and actual size. It's by far, the best play food I've seen. It's a little pricey but definately worth it.
