This cute little set is not only sturdy and realistic, it was also a wonderful introduction to preparing food for our 3 year old daughter. Ever since her Grandpa bought this for her, she's made everything from a cheese sandwhich to a triple decker salami club! She had so much fun playing with this toy, that she started to become interested in how I prepared meals. She now is very eager to spread peanut butter and jam, layer turkey and cheese and help mix cake batter. Set comes with cute red basket and 13 pieces of sandwich. A very cute gift to give a girl or boy.

This is a cute set. It does have a "plasticy" smell when first opened, but it goes away quickly. It's a great addition to my 4 year olds kitchen set.

I wrote this review for another product by the same company and the same applies for this: We purchased the item hoping that it would be of reasonable size, meaning the food would be closer to "real" size rather than miniature. It was. We also hoped it would be made well and stand up to hopefully more than one generation of use. That remains to be seen, but the stuff is made well and I cannot see it breaking unless you deep-freeze the plastic pieces and hit them with a hammer. Nice texture, nice flexibility, pretty realistic looks. The child it was intended for (age 4 and a bit) plays happily with it, even the older boys (10 and 13) have had a few moments of goofy fun with it.

This toy does not look like the picture at all. The bread, tomato, and lettuce were all hard. The only parts that are a bit realistic are the cheese and meats. This toy came with only one tomato and one lettuce. That's not enough objects to make multiple full sandwiches. I would recommend not buying this toy if you want your money's worth.

After reading all the reviews, I might have had higher expectations for this item...
Not what I thought it was...just looks a bit cheap for my taste...
The only nice parts were the cheese and the basket it came in...bread was not the material I expected...

We bought this because my daughter loves to stack things on top of each other.She loves to make pretend food esp sandwiches and hamburgers. I had difficulty finding a good sandwhich set that was reasonably priced. I wound up getting this one and we like it a-lot, just wish it had more sandwich meat....there are only 3 pieces. Also only 1 piece of tomato and 1 piece of lettuce.

I bought these for my daughter and I play with them more than she does. They are very well made, sturdy plastic and very realistic.

I bought this pretend sandwich kit to go with my 23-month old daughter's play kitchen.

She loves the idea of making a sandwich and has fun with the pieces, but because the bread is hard plastic and life-sized, she has a hard time gripping her little hands on any sandwich she makes. (basically her hands are too small) She quickly gets frustrated by this and usually moves on to another toy.

I think this toy is better for kids over 3 years old, due to the size.

All the pieces look pretty real except for the meat with the specks in it - that looks weird.

Good quality. Only negative is that every piece of bread has an indention in the shape of a circle. My daughter doesn't even notice and loves making sandwiches for everyone.

this is by far the best realistic play food you will find! slightly bendable, doesn't tear. i'm going to order the rest of the meals!
