5.0 out of 5 stars Informative and well written
I enjoyed reading and learning about the leather process. Ms. Sterlacci traveled to Italy to trace the leather process. I enjoying the photos of the different aspects of leather making. This book was well written, and an excellent source of information.

2.0 out of 5 stars Not worth ...
The title of this book is really misleading. Most of the book is about the history of leather and leathermaking. Then we go on to some tips for sewing and designing garments, but nowhere near the level that one would think, from the title. The book is a little too superficial in terms of actually assisting the designer with designing clothes. ...

5.0 out of 5 stars I enjoyed reading this book very much, January 3, 2011
This review is from: Leather Apparel Design (Paperback)
I reread this book after reading this authors latest book, "Leather Fashion Design" and I remembered how much I learned. The history of leather was most enlightening and Ms. Sterlacci's fashion knowledge and experience is certainly evident. I would recommend this book for lay readers, as well as fashion design students. It was well written, informative, and appeals to many audiences.
