This is a great bible cover with a roomy zip pocket that can comfortably hold a holy water bottle, a rosary inside the rosary pouch, and a small prayer booklet with room left over. The leather is good quality too.

Just remember, when buying a bible cover, to get it a little bigger than your bible for best results.

The leather and overall construction of this cover is neater, tighter, and pleasantly stiffer than the Embassy Lambskin cover. The interior flaps used to secure the book are sturdy nylon, holding the book securely, while the Embassy Lambskin cover's interior flaps are elastic, resulting in a looser, flabbier fit. Additionally, BeltOutlet's customer service and shipping rates are top-notch! Well worth the extra money!

As a missionary in Africa who is often out in the weather with my Bible, I was looking for a long-lasting protective cover for it. After unsuccessfully searching for hours at local stores for a suitable candidate, I decided to try Amazon and found this item. It will do the job. The soft leather is both pleasant to handle and tough enough to protect its contents from whatever Mother Nature sends its way. The pockets will easily handle pens, a notebook, and a small hymnal. And it looks as if this cover will remain attractive and durable for years to come.

I have been carrying my Kindle: Amazon's New Wireless Reading Device with me where ever I go. The problem I have had is that I wanted to protect the ports on it when it is in my purse. I didn't want one of the expensive travel cases and I wanted to be able to fit the Kindle, in its original cover (which is perfect for me with a small dot of velcro,) inside the case I finally found.

This zippered book (bible) cover is what I found. It is a little bit larger than the Kindle but that works in my favor because all my Kindle gadgets and necessaries fit in the case's extra pockets. Charger, earphones, clip-on light, extra battery, USB cable and screen wipe, etc. Since it is a book cover the Kindle, in its cover, slips snuggly inside one of the book flaps. Or I can just unzip one end and quickly slide the Kindle in. The outside of the case has a zipper pocket on one side that is the full length of the case which would easily hold a notepad. The other side has another zip pocket that runs the full width of the case. This side also has a good sized flap pocket that closes with velcro. It even has a handle. I purchased the Regular size: 6.5 X 9 X 2 inches.

I bought this cover after searching online and in the brick and mortar stores for a nice bible cover. Most of the leather ones in the stores just didn't look good, or were too flashy.

After reading the reviews on this product and being able to see that it was very basic, I bought it. I'm glad I did. This cover is fantastic! The leather is very, very supple. I mean, almost to the point of it forming around your hands and you hold it.

Full size pocket on one side, another storage pocket on the other and a final zipper pouch on the same side make this the bible cover to have.

Nothing extravagant, or flashy. Just a soft, black, leather bible cover that will last for years to come.

Overall this is a very good cover that should give many years of service.The leather is soft but appears strong, the zips function well and there are several compartments for additional note storage as well as a position for pen or marker. This cover is made in India and the workmanship is good. The only slight negative point I noticed was that the grain of the leather was not matched very well (some of the leather pieces that make up the cover were of a course grain while other pieces were of a smaller grain). I would recommend this product.

My husband had been on a mission to find a black leather Bible cover and had been unable to find exactly what he wanted. This Christmas I took it upon myself to search and find what he wanted. After looking at lots of different covers, I stumbled upon this one. Based on the photos and reviews it sounded like a match. I'm happy to report he LOVED IT! It was perfect! It's soft and buttery with lots of pockets and places to put pens and notes. The pockets are great. I would definitely recommend this cover. It looks so much more expensive than it was.

I ordered on a Friday and received on Monday via priority mail. The cover fits my Bible perfectly. It is well made out of high quality leather. I would recommend it to anyone.

Okay, let me be fair. There are worse leather bible cases than this one, but still it doesn't imply that it should be sewn so badly. Usually position of a zipper should be more or less parallel to the body-no with this product, the leather connected to zipper in sort of wave pattern. At some places it 3mm from zipper and others its 8mm or more. There are scratches, uneven cuts of connected pieces of leather and so on. In short, it certainly will protect your bible but it shouldn't cost $28. I wanted to send it back, but than decided to keep it-the bible is more important than cover. Still product made very poorly. Here is my advise to BeltOutlet go and look how ladies cosmetic purses and bags are made, how they are sewn, try to make your stuff the same way.

Unfortunately, all the local Christian bookstores in my area have been run out of business by Zondervan. And Zondervan isn't selling any quality Bible covers anymore, only cheaply made chinese junk. And the local stores are charging double the price you can buy online for. I also went to a local Barnes and Noble store, and all they had were the same cheap Zondervan covers!

I knew buying online would be taking a chance for getting a good fit, but Zondervan left me no choice.

I ordered the X-large size for a hardcover ESV study Bible. If you have not seen the ESV study Bible, trust me, it is BIG! And this cover fits it perfectly. I am very happy with how it turned out.

The cover came in plastic wrapping, and when I first opened it the smell was very strong. This is real leather, and they use some type of chemicals to soften and/or colr it.

After trying it for size, I put it out in the garage for a couple days to air out. The strong smell is now gone.

Some of the other reviewers are criticizing the materials or workmanship. Someone should remind them that you normally do not get a quality leather product such as this one for such a low price!

If you have a hardcover ESV study Bible, it fits, but be sure to order X-large!
