I considered many office chairs before deciding on this one. It is very handsome, somewhat darker brown than the picture. The leather is good quality. It is comfortable and firm. It does have built-in lumbar support as described, but without a way to adjust that it is a question of how the person sitting fits the space. The back is not quite as high as I expected; my head just fits on the headrest (I am 5'10" tall).

It was not hard to put together; it took about a half-hour mostly because the directions consisted entirely of pictures. The only tool needed, an Allen wrench, was included. It seems well constructed and I expect it will hold up well. I will add comments in six months (summer, 2010) to tell how it holds up. I have had it two weeks and I am impressed.

The only change I would have made in my shopping would have been to try out other office chairs before buying this--but I probably would have purchased it in the end. There's no way to judge comfort in a chair in on-line shopping. I found an identical chair at another dealer on line, but even though it was a little lower price there I chose to buy this from Amazon because of many good experiences purchasing from Amazon. I am very pleased with the chair.

I bought this chair for my computer desk... I have six other places to set in my loft, but I set on my computer desk chair 95 % of the time I'm up here, because it is the most comfortable.
