This halter is, overall, very nice. It fits most horses, though notably not the mustangs, rearing horses, or horses with overly bulky forelocks. The most annoying part of this halter is that the chain on the lead is quite easily broken. I've had to repair mine twice, and it's not easy with such small links. The leather itself is good quality and will not easily wear away. I would not recommend this halter for children four and under, as it is easily swallowed.

I got this halter from A Bit More Tack. It is just like a real one. It is a nice halter but the price is not so nice. If younger kids get a hold of it it will probley break. It does not fit that well on the Black Stallion though. I do not reccamend this toy from kids under 3 or 4 because it is small and they could probley swallow it and choke. Overall it is a nice halter.

I'm very gentle with this halter because I've heard it can break but mine hasn't. It's a nice halter and is easy to ues. But it if you need halters for your models.

unlike the nylon on,this halter is durable,the only problem with these products is the lead always breaks.

I'm sure this is a fine accessory for toy horses, but why is this even listed with tack for full size live horses? Maybe the price should have tipped me, as well as the the picture. It was the small parts-choking hazard for small children that clued me in. I was wondering if parents were actually adapting this halter for use on children! Nothing against the product, just Amazon's sloppiness. I'm giving it 5 stars, but this is NOT the droid I was looking for.

This product is extremely poorly made. It broke the first time my 9yo daughter tried to put it on a horse. She was so excited after ordering it with her birthday money, waiting for it to arrive, and then it breaks in the first 2 minutes! Breyer should be ashamed of themselves. I rated it as a "1" for fun because there was no time to play with it before it broke. Otherwise, it would heve been great.

Many of the Breyer dolls and accessories are very overpriced (not to mention the horses) and are very cheaply made. They are made in China, probably for pennies, and then sold at rediculous prices here. They need some good competition with better made products so they aren't in such a position to rip us, and our children, off.
