great for kids,

I ordered two books for leather crafting, both seemed ideal for kids. Hands down this beat, "Projects in Leather" by the Boy Scouts of America.Very kid friendly format, excellent explanation of tools and supplies for leather working, great color photos (showing kids doing leather work, samples, and tools) and projects that appeal to kids in simple, easy to understand writing. Projects are - bookmark, mystery wrist band (braided,) belt, camping knife pouch, wrist band, keepsake box, drawstring bag for game boy (could easily adapt for other purposes,) simple moccasins, book cover, cell phone case, tape measure case, wallet, and hatchet holster. Great for scout groups or introduction for the novice leather worker. |
