Say Goodbye To The Traditional Pocket Knife,
This review is from: Leatherman 63050103K Super Tool 200, Leather Sheath (Tools & Home Improvement)
There is no reason to carry a pocket knife as a "all in one tool" these days. In days of old people carried pocket knives and used them as multi purpose tools because there was nothing else. It wasn't uncommon to see pocket knives with broken or chipped blades because the owner used them for everthing from screwdrivers to prybars.
At one time, I did the same thing. I once had a Buck pocket knife fold up on my index finger while using it as a screwdriver. It went nearly to the bone just below my knuckle. Oddly, my first thought was "This is going to hurt when I pull the blade out". I was right, it did. I left a blood trail that Stevie Wonder could follow. Those days are long gone. Today, many of the name brand knife manufacturers make a "multi-purpose tool". The King of the multi-purpose tool mountain is the Super Tool 200 by Leatherman. My primary job is a self-employed home inspector and I can't tell you how useful this tool is. So much so that I gave all my inspectors one for Christmas last year. I find myself carrying this tool everywhere. Camping, fishing and around the house. You'll wonder as I do how you ever got along in the world without one. I'd sooner leave my cell phone or tool bag at home than forget my Leatherman. I've used it for cutting nails and wires, used both screwdrivers, the awl for poking into suspicous looking wood, the needle noses to pull splinterrs and slivers out of my hand, repaired small engines, disassembled fishing reels on the lake and a ton of other things I wouldn't have been able to do with a pocket knife. Leatherman's are sturdy tools. I've seen a number of knockoffs that were made of stamped sheet metal and were flimsy when handled. I don't have that worry with my Super Tool 200! When purchasing a Leatherman, get the leather sheath if you can. I love mine and it has 'molded' itself around my Leatherman and fits like a glove. I guess I'm from the old school, I prefer leather over nylon sheaths. Don't get me wrong. I still love my pocket knives. However, since the Leatherman came along the get used less and less. Good Luck and go get a Leatherman, you won't regret it!

If you have ever owned a leatherman you know how useful they are. They are always updating thier product to make sure they are they best. I particularly liked the locking feature of all the tools; no more do you have to worry about a screwdriver or knife folding up as you're trying to use it. This is a well made product.
