The finest leatherman?,

This review is from: Leatherman 70101003K Juice C2 Pocket Multi-Tool, Inferno Red (Tools & Home Improvement)
This is my favorite leatherman because it has all of the "essential" tools AND is still small.
If you move down in the lineup (think: Squirt P4) then you still get a nice piece, but you're missing critical tools like a corkscrew (ever tried to open a bottle of wine on travel?). And if you move up in the lineup then you begin to get less useful extraneous tools which make the unit much larger and heavier. The juice sits right in the middle, the ideal balance of utility and size. Highly recommended.

This is, for me, almost ideal for an Every Day Carry (EDC) multitool. I researched before I bought, and I sided with the Juice C2 over the Juice S2 and CS4. I'm a wine drinker, and so is my wife, and so are my friends. We're always traveling, and we're always finding ourselves in need of a corkscrew. I have a utility drawer full of cheap waiter's keys that have been purchased on the road. We've tried putting corkscrews in our suitcases, but inevitably something mucks up and we end up needing another one.
I lost my venerable Swiss army knife. It was a Victorinox Tinker, and I loved it. When searching for a replacement, I was immediately drawn to the assisted corkscrew on some of the Juice models. Let me be clear: The assisted corkscrew works just like a waiter's key. The can opener's lip provides a fulcrum point that helps the screw pull the cork. Swiss army knives have corkscrews, but they all require you to physically pull out the cork, which oven shreds it. The Leatherman Juice models don't shred corks, they pop them out. If you need a corkscrew on your EDC, you need a Leatherman. Period. I would have liked scissors. Leatherman used to make a model called the SC2, which combined the S2 and C2. Now, if you want those things you've got to have a saw and an awl on the CS4. So, I chose the C2 and live without the scissors. It's still a fantastic product. Good-sized combination pliers, chisel-tipped flathead screwdrivers, a powerful Phillips #1 that doesn't seem to strip or chip, a fantastic bottle opener, a good can opener (it WILL get the job done), and a main blade that's sharp enough to shave with, right out of the box. Best of all, the most commonly used tools (bottle opener, corkscrew, and knife) are accessible without opening the tool. All of this is in a sexy red package that literally disappears into jean pockets. If you're a wine drinker, this is your EDC best friend. I'm using it all the time in places and situations I've never even considered. I'm snipping vines with the wire cutters and turning bolts with the pliers. I'm using the needle-nose tips as tweezers and the small flathead as a punch. This tool is worth every penny. Of course, the day Leatherman reintroduces the SC2, I'll buy it.

Super! Big enough to get most jobs done, but small enough to disappear on your belt or in your purse... AND, Made In the USA by Americans! Avoid cheap knock-offs. This is a QUALITY tool.

ANOTHER GREAT LEATHERMAN,
By
This review is from: Leatherman 70101003K Juice C2 Pocket Multi-Tool, Inferno Red (Tools & Home Improvement)
Leatherman did it again. I'm sorry if this is a short review but I have done a review for the Leatherman Juice S2, CS4, and now the C2 on top of a hand full of other Leatherman reviews. The C2 is a great Multi Tool that can be carried every day in your pocket without even noticing it is there. The Flathead drivers are a bit tough to deploy at first but will loosen up after use. All the other tools are easily deployed. It has 3 Flathead drivers which I really like and the smallest is sized to fit eyeglasses. It also comes with a corkscrew, bottle lifter, can opener, Philips driver, blade, needle nose pliers, regular pliers, wire cutters, and hard wire cutters. This tool is not a heavy duty tool but will work for most day to day task you might run into. If you like this tool but desire scissors look into a Juice S2 as it is exactly the same but has Scissors instead of the corkscrew. There is also the Juice CS4 and Juice XE6 in the Juice line. I own all except the XE6 as I find it would be too big for pocket carry. This is a great tool to have on you at all times and everyone should carry some sort of multi tool.

If I had to own 1 Leatherman or Swiss Army Knive, this would be it!,

This review is from: Leatherman 70101003K Juice C2 Pocket Multi-Tool, Inferno Red (Tools & Home Improvement)
I own many Leatherman's and Swiss Army Knives and this C2 Juice is the one that I use the most. It has the most useful features and is still a relatively small size that I can slide into any bag that I am carrying. The Juice comes in the most handy when people are moving in or out of their place because there's always a need for a screwdriver or pliers. The feature I like the most is that I can beat the thing up and it still works great!

Leatherman has come along way since the first multi tool I bought. I bought the Juice C2 for part of a roadside kit, and I think it will work great. It's smaller size, compared to the originals, makes it less bulky, yet it has the essential tools included in it. My one criticism is that the tools are somewhat difficult to pull out, you better have longer, strong fingernails.

Design flaw snags an otherwise great product,

When I found this tool initially, I was really psyched about the size and the price. And it had everything I wanted without a lot of obscure extras. But when I got it and opened it, it turned out that the tool was out of alignment, making it hard to open and close. The pliers in the center would get caught on the screw drivers in the one side. I wasn't going to put up this review originally because I figured it's possible that the one that came to me was just defective, but I looked at the same knife at a local store, and it had the same alignment issues. Considering the number of close options in price and equipment, I really don't recommend this product.
I compared it to my mom's Juice K4, a product that we got at Costco a few years back, and that tool moved completely smoothly--which is what I would expect from a leatherman. For $40 I didn't want to hold on to the C2 tool that looked like it would probably get more seriously stuck with some use. so I ordered the Juice CS4, which is only $10 more, and with scissors, so also extremely useful without unnecessary extras. So far that product has been perfect!

Great everyday Leatherman,
This review is from: Leatherman 70101003K Juice C2 Pocket Multi-Tool, Inferno Red (Tools & Home Improvement)
I own several Leatherman products, and the Juice C2 is the best everyday pocket carry Leatherman for me. It's compact, yet big enough to still be considered a "tool" and it has the basic things that I need 99% of the time in pliers, knife, both screwdriver heads and bottle opener/corkscrew. And most importantly, it doesn't have scissors. I can't stand scissors in a knife.

Once this Letherman arrived, I've been surprized with it's small size. I had not even imagine tool's real size. However, I'm satisfied with it.
Other thing, the bootle opener's support is not strong enough. While the majority of wine bootles can be opened well, there are some bootles corked too firmly. They can take more time to open. Overall, this is a good replacement for my old cheap multitool I've lost accidentally.

Perhaps I am being overly critical, as one of the main reasons I bought this was due to the size. However; I must say that I am a little disapointed in this tool. The bottle opener is too thin to work well. You have to position the silly thing perfectly to get it to work and the cutter binds when cutting plastic straps. Not very impressive, I must admit. I do like the blade, but the cork screw is too thin and the straight screwdriver blades are painful to get to. I would not but this tool if I had to do it over again.
