I have mixed feelings about this product. I gave it 5 stars because it is a top notch Leatherman product. The mixed review is whether it outpreforms the Leatherman Micra that it sort of replaces.
First, its just a tad shorter and a tad wider than the Micra. You won't notice the difference in your pocket.

Second, the reverse opening sissors is just as easy to open as the Micra. It has all the same tools, although they feel smaller they look like they handle the same set of screws. The bottle opener is a bit smaller but it still opens the lift top bottles just as well.

The tweezers do come completely out from the body of the knife which is good and bad. Good because they are easier to use, bad because they are easier to lose. On the other hand they are well integrated into the body of the knife with a small tab for removing them.

And on the Micra when I open it the tweezers always swing out whether I need them or not.

So its a toss between the two of them. So in general I'd have to go with price, and the older Micra is a few bucks cheaper.

Over the past five years, with my addled mind that forgets where I leave things and forgets that I can't take a pen knife through an airline security check point, I've had to purchase a succession of Micras and Squirts. I loved the Micra and, initially, was not happy when Leatherman replaced it with the more expensive Squirt. Now that I've had a Squirt for the past year (and recently lost it), there is no way I would go back to the Micra. The Squirt is a better made and more solid tool. The scissors on the old Micra tended to nick easily and get out of alignment. I used the Squirt scissors on everything from cutting my nails to pruning flowers and they never wore down or became misaligned. The Squirt is a far better multi-tool and worth the extra price. I just can't live without it.

I replaced a small swiss-army knife with the Squirt S4 after losing the knife. I definately like the Squirt a lot better than my old swiss army knife. It's a little bigger, but still a less bulky than my Car Key w/Integrated Keyless Entry.

Squirt scissors are fairly strong and can but through any number of materials, including amazon.com packing boxes, small plants/flowers, and the sealed plastic that small electronics are sold in.

It is solid made and none of the tools flex or bend under normal use. The knife is razor sharp out of the box; it seems to hold its edge a slightly better than my swiss.

The paint will chip and scratch after a few weeks on a keychain. If that's important to you, I strongly recommend getting a Squirt slip-case.

Update:

Another issue. Most of the tools are on the outside (i.e. you don't have to open it to take out the knife, screwdriver, etc). This is convenience, but can be dangerous. If you apply to much pressure, the tool slip and close on your fingers. Ouch!

The Leatherman Micra does not have this problem: you open it up, flip out the tool, and then close it. Tools can't close on your fingers!

When I bought this tool, I found out that it was the same price as the Micra. This tool is way better than the micra, because the scissors are a lot stronger and the overall product is more durable than the micra. I definatly think that this is better than the micra.

The ability to open the knife blade without opening the handles was an improvement over the micra. However, the anodized aluminum wears poorly when in a pocket with keys and change. The perfect design would be the Squirt with a stainless steel handle option like the Micra, in my opinion. Nonetheless this is my pocket mini-tool of choice.

My girlfriend loves it. I bought for her to keep in her purse. I have seen her use it a bunch of times. This thing is TINY. She has one of those little purses that barely fits her wallet and cell phone and this thing just slips right in there.

I haven't used it much, myself, but I played around with it and the quality lives up to the Leatherman name, to be expected. The scissors are sharp and it's easy to use.

Love this little tool! Actually bought a second one when I lost it on a trip. Mini screwdrivers very handy, and love having scissors. Really you can't go wrong having one of these in your purse! Just remember to pack it in your suitcase and not go through security at the airport though! Also it's fun to get your boyfriend/husband one with the pliers for his keychain.

I used both the Micra and the Squirt. Right now I have the Squirt attached to my keys for about 3 years and it is still going strong. I have the "S4" version with the scissors instead of pliers. When I saw that someone said the Micra was a better value, I had to come to the defense of the Squirt. Take it from someone who knows, the Squirt far surpasses the value of the Micra. I had gone through 2 Micras before I found the Squirt.

Micra - After a month or two it was so gummed up that the scissors would stay shut and would not open on their own. This was the main reason I went through them so fast.

Squirt - Still springing after years, much more force behind this one.

--Scissors Grip--

Micra - When doing some serious cutting (or using the pliers), the sharp metal frame and tools will start to slice into your hand.

Squirt - Thicker frame to house the tools on the outside lessens so it will not hurt your hand.

--Paint--

Micra - Start to flake and chip off after a month or so. (If you had to get one, get the stainless steel finish)

Squirt - Storm gray paint has scratched off but no big flakes like the Micra. The paint is bound to go through some serious wear and tear when on a keychain so some scratches are to be expected.

If you were thinking of getting the Micra, spend the extra 5 bucks and get a knife that is 5 times better.

As with all Leatherman tools this one is outstanding, great workmanship and design. It is very small, just the right size for a key chain but still big enough to be handled easily.

Got this one for my mother for mother's day and she didn't like it (apparently she needs a special nail file) so I re-gifted it to my girlfriend, who uses it daily.

5 stars, if you need scissors, screwdrivers and a knife on the key chain, get it!

All the tools on the Squirt S4 (scissor version) and Squirt P4 (plier version) are the same except the S4 has a nice twizzer and an awful fingernail file (with ruler) whereas the P4 has a really really nice and useful 2-sided file and a very small awl. I wish Leatherman would replace the finfernail file on the S4 with the P4's 2-sided file. I also don't see much need for the tiny awl on the P4. Maybe the S4's twizzer would be better. Rather than buy the Squirt P4, buy Leatherman's Juice CS4 or similar. That should take care of most of your pocket and purse and glove compartment tool needs.

The new Squirt S4 is a nicer design (of tool locations) but the Micra supposedly has a superior scissors and I tend to agree with that. The Micra is a little longer than the Squirt and the twizzer on it is a much worse design. The knife blades are the same. The finger nail file is the same on both except the Squirt has a ruler (on the opposite side of the file). The phillips screwdriver is the same on both and I do not like the design. Instead of the crossed points it has a flat tip phillips. The bottle opener on the Micra also has a small flat-tip screwdriver. I don't like this design either. I prefer the Squirt's design of bottle opener and medium flat-tip screwdriver. On the Micra the medium flat-tip screwdriver is a stand-alone tool and on the Squirt S4 the small screwdriver is stand-alone (which I prefer). The stainless-steel body of the Micra is far more appealing and durable than the aluminum handles of the Squirt S4 which are easily dinged. In the end, I prefer the look of the stainless steel Micra but the overall design and tool components of the Squirt S4.
