Recommended by Scouting Magazine, Military Times, and Popular Science, the Super Tool 300 includes multiple types of the most commonly used tools. With two sets of extra-strong pliers (needle-nose and regular), two knives (clip-point straight edge and sheepfoot serrated), three sets of wire cutters (removable standard cutters, removable hard-wire cutters, and stranded cutters), and four screwdrivers (5/16-inch, 7/32-inch, 1/8-inch, and Phillips), this multitool has more than enough capacity to handle a range of common applications.
The Super Tool 300 also comes with a wire stripper, electrical crimper, wood/metal file, saw, bottle opener, can opener, ruler, and awl with thread loop.
Designed for Long-Term Comfort, Portability, and Safety
To ensure optimum control and comfort, the Super Tool 300 is designed with rolled slope-top handles. These stainless steel handles are comfort-sculpted for your hand, allowing for relaxed all-day use. Ideal for when you're wearing gloves, the handles also feature large side cutouts that make it easy to grab the inner components. And to keep things safe, a locking system keeps the blades and tools securely in place both during and between uses.
Measuring a compact 4-1/2-inches when closed and weighing just 9.6 ounces, the Super Tool 300 is a lightweight way to keep a toolbox worth of tools at your side. And with a protective universal nylon-and-leather sheath, this multitool is easy to take anywhere.
What's more, with the Super Tool 300, you can look forward to years of reliable performance. The tool's stainless steel body and handles offer superior resistance to the wear and tear of busy jobsites and outdoor expeditions.

The greatest multitool EVER!,
This review is from: Leatherman 831102 Super Tool-300 Multitool with Premium Sheath (Tools & Home Improvement)
What a great tool. I am a huge fan of the Super Tool 200, which i still use, so I will use that as a comparison. I've had the 300 for about a month and a half, so it is still in the break in stage, as it is quite stiff to open and close. A quick usage background on myself, I work as a mechanic/technician on vehicles and equipment ranging from utility ATVs to diesel engines to heavy equipment, including road service calls. I wear and use this tool daily. It holds up extremely well in rough industrial shop environments. My Super Tool has seen battery acid, hammering, prying, twisting steel banding among other things, being dropped on concrete, and it still works wonderfully.Noticeable improvements: My well broken in 200 has the problem of flinging the blade out when I open the tool. They corrected this problem on the 300 by inserting a small detent to create a positive stop at the inner base of both the straight and serrated blades. The cutaway to access either blade is much bigger. Makes it easier to open the blade, given the extra small bit of effort required with the addition of the detent stop and if you wear utility gloves. The plier head is much stronger and wider with replaceable wire cutter blades. The plier jaws on the 300 are square cut and thicker instead of rounded over like the 200. (just remember to use threadlocker when you re-install the torx screw after blade replacement) The depth of the handle is noticeably bigger, though not by much, adding a more solid, bulky feel in my hand. I have relatively large hands and it is very comfortable. The phillips screwdriver is stronger with a more beefed up shank. The saw blade is slightly wider, adding more strength. The blade release button is greatly improved. Consisting of a wide thumb pad the width of the handle, it makes for releasing the tools a breeze, especially while wearing gloves. The lanyard eyelet is bigger The flat tipped screw drivers (all 3) are bigger with a more professional bevel at the tip. The case. The case I received with the 300 is leather/nylon combo. In the time that I've worn this tool, the black finish is starting to wear off on the backside. I prefer the feel of the nylon case as it seems to have a more flat profile on my belt. This tool does NOT have scissors, as I've read complaints about this. I have personally have never needed it in a multitool. For a basic, heavy duty full size multitool, I highly recommend the Super Tool 300. I like it enough that I am going to buy another one (maybe the black oxide version) to keep in the truck. For the price offered, you can't go wrong or beat it when you consider other smaller multitools can cost almost twice as much. Great value. Thanks again, Leatherman, for another great tool.

I live in Tasmania, Australia and received my package today after a little over two weeks, so as you can image I was very excited when the mail arrived.I bought my father an original Supertool years ago and had played around with a friends Supertool 200 which I really loved. I can only say I'm very disappointed with this tool - for a number of reasons I'll now explain. First thing; the packing box could have contained more packaging. It just had a single air-cell meaning the contents were more or less free jump around. They wer epacked very loosely. Incidentally I also bought a Smiths sharpener which is brilliant value. So these two items were wot very secure at all. Pretty darned poor actually and I've given feedback to Amazon about this. I removed my Leatherman Supertool 300 from it's little cardboard box and it was covered with fingerprints, grimy and franky very smudgy which instantly put me off. It kind of looks like someone had been playing around with it before despite it supposedly being brand new. It also had some black fibers embedded on it indicating someone had used it in a sheath before. I read another review somewhere on here where someone else had similar problems (with fingerprints etc.) with the same model so I guess it's not only me with this issue. The end of the pliers were ground off a little on one side more than the other. This means they weren't flush (neat) on the ends, one side was uneven. This has implications if I wanted to say wrap wire neatly around the end of the pliers. This is just bad quality control in anyone's language and is definitely a factory issue they need to look at. I rushed into Hobart and looked at a model in one of the shops. The pliers were perfectly neat and machined unlike what I received today. Arrghhh!! The tool when closed would not close tightly. The two parts of the handles flopped around loosely with a grap of say 3/4 inch. It was loose and the two handles would rattle and open quite freely especially in the sheath. How utterly annoying. As a contrast I bought a 4 dollar Chinese multitool last year. The thing is crap but even though, the handles close rock solid and tight much better than the Supertool I got today. This bothers me. Again it's quality control issue. The sheath is bad. Too wide for this model. Also when worn sideways the tool will definitely fall out. I guarantee it. The opening is too large and tool is heavy and it slides out as I tested it. You cannot prevent it. This is a really bad sheath guys, not a good design. The sheath will only fit a narrow belt. The sheath is a poor design for outdoor activity and EDC (forget about that). If I was in the Army I'd forget about it otherwise you're gonna look and your tool will be gone. Not good. It is also WAY heavier and chunkier than the other Supertools I've used and seen. Way too heavy for my belt. Okay, others say they don't mind the weight. Let me tell you: If a knife or tool is heavy you'll end up not wanting to carry it around. This thing is ridiculously heavy and cumbersome especially in the stupid sheath. It feels like carrying around a small brick. Guys, I appreciate some of you have had great experiences with this tool. The one I got today exhibited poor quality control and (at the very least) I definitely would have expected Amazon to check it out and make sure it was clean before sending. I am sending it back to Amazon ASAP. It will probably cose me $40 Australian Dollars to reship this so I feel a bit upset by this. But anyway my loss I guess. All of these problems could have been prevented and given I'm at the bottom of Australia I should have paid the extra cash and bought one locally. I may exchange this for a Leatherman Wave MAYBE from Amazon but like I said, if the same thing happens again I'd be really peeved off. I hope this review has helped. Best wishes and take care. Paul.

An upgrade over the Core and Super Tool 200, the Super tool 300 supports MASSIVE pliers that are much stronger than any other Leatherman. Also, the wire cutters appear to be removable which is a new feature.Other than this, it isn't much different than a Super Tool 200 or Core... in other words, if you want new features, it doesn't deliver. Having said this, I still highly recommend it for the added plier strength and wire cutter flexibility. Quality is average, just like all modern Leathermans. This is not as well put together as the older Leathermans, but it is still a good (but not great) tool.
