Anne Reekie has a voice that may never be heard on the radio in North America. It isn't sweet, sugary, or light-hearted; instead it is raspy, wispy, and beautiful.

'Leave me out of this' is a rather short album, lasting only 45 minutes..but in the end, anything more would just dilute it. Listening to this album at the right moment is like travelling in the brain of a rather odd creature. This is a good thing.

'Caught on' and 'Reeling as you come around again' start off sounding alike, but this soon fades.

This grand CD comes in a digipak..a very pretty one at that. The cover art reminds me off some giant space worm floating with tiny little stars.

www.fielgarvie.co.uk has many songs to download, including b-sides and tracks from their first album, which I, er, do not own, sadly...
