When I first heard this on the air, and then the released version, it is truly a great piece to listen to over and over again. The proceeds from the total sale of this song will be benefiting the Christmas Wish fund in Arizona.

Johnjay & Rich, if you have not heard their show, provide their listeners with a constant stream of laughter, music, artists an stars from all genres. If you have not listened to them before... do so now.

Rich deserves all the best wishes for this being his first hit where he is playing the guitar for Jesse!

My wife loves this song, and I like it but I've never been all over it like she has. When I was compiling a mix-CD for a road trip I decided to DL this song and put it on there for her. In my search here I stumbled across this acoustic version. Now, I am a sucker for anything acoustic (I think I've mentioned that recently) and so I decided to go with this version as apposed to the original.

I.AM.SO.GLAD.I.DID.

There is something about the stripped down rawness of an acoustic guitar that can add so much depth and passion to just about anything. I remember a few years back catching an acoustic version of Britney Spears' `Baby One More Time' in a reality show and being blown away by how much depth was added just by switching up the instrument. The same goes here. The song is completely transformed.

I love this track and I listen to it constantly, and when I'm not listening to it I'm singing it and I've even started tinkering with my acoustic guitar at home, trying to get it down. Jesse's voice is complimented beautifully here.

I just might pick up his album now.

I am so happy that this song is finally available for purchase, everytime Johnjay and Rich play this song on-air (which is a few times a morning! LOL) I turn it up and jam out! Its a great song to begin with but adding the exceptional guitar playing of Rich Berra makes it "AN" wonderful song!! Its such a good thing for Jesse and the guys to put all this money towards Christmas Wish so buy this song (a few times, come on...its only a buck!) and support their charity. Jesse today, Paula tomorrow....Seacrest better watch out you guys are right on his heels!!

I was sitting in my car getting ready to go into my sons doctors appointment when Johnjay and Rich started talking about Jesse's new song and how earlier in the morning Johnjay suggested to Rich that they do the song live. The second I heard the song... I fell in love with it. The Acoustic version with Rich is by far way better then the original. Rich and Jesse are soooo talented and amazing. I'm so excited that this has finally been released and that the proceeds will be going to such a great cause. Ryan Seacrest can NOT beat this :)

I wonder why there are two seperate entries for this song here on Amazon? Maybe it's just THAT good! Anyway, on to the review:

This song is absolutely amazing. Personally, I think this version is far better than the normal, pop version most stations are playing. It has soul and you can tell that Rich is playing from the heart.

If the song wasn't enough, Johnjay and Rich, J&R for short, and Jesse are donating the proceeds from this song to the Christmas Wish charity (not sure if that's the exact name) which does amazing things every year. So, if you love fantastic music, have 99 cents in the bank, and are not a heartless jerk who hates Christmas, you should buy this song!

J&R are two extremely funny radio personalities who have, IMO, the best morning show on the airwaves, period. I've listened to them for years and always been very impressed by their show but I was even more impressed by Rich's ability with a guitar. I mean, I knew he could play, but that boy is good. He knows how to pour his emotions out over the strings, which is something that not every player can do. The way Rich has let Johnjay follow him up through the tiers of stardom is very noble, when you think about it.

To be honest, the only negative that I can think of is that there isn't the sound of Carrie rubbing her chest against the mic worked into the song. I mean, come on! Her sweater against the mic would still be acoustic, wouldn't it?

The "John Jay and Rich" version is much much better than the original version. Please download it - you won't regret it. Rich (of Johnjay and Rich - Kiss FM Phoenix, KRQ Tucson, My99 Colorado Springs, and Z100 Portland) plays the guitar for Jesse in this version. The best part - proceeds are being donated to the Radio Station's charity - A Christmas Wish.
