Gives the beginner several methods to choose from,
By radar@bayou.com (Northern Louisiana USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Leaving the Body (Paperback)
This was the first book on OBE's I read.Later I found the book by William Buhlman, and found the Buhlman book superior in its content and approach. The author,D.Scott Rogo does'nt get involved with any particular faith,or dogma, which I found refreshing. The chapter on Diet does have some validity,in my opinion, when I went on a strick vegitarian diet for a few months, solely for the purpose of weight control.I found my dreams which have always been very vivid, took an incredible leap in lucidity and clearness..(this was years ago, before I started having OBE's)There is a script for your own self-hypnosis tape. The Buhlman book has one also...All in all,I'd say buy this book and the Buhlman book...You wont need any other books for inducing OBE's.Pick the method that works best for you,and stick with it.

A Wonderful Book!,
By Burke Mortimer (bcmortimer@yahoo.com (London,Ontario,Canada) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Leaving the Body (Paperback)
I found this book to be very helpful in the technique department. Rogo, gives a variety of different methods. I found the one on visualization to be very helpful. The thing to remember when working with his techniques is to just stick with one and keep doing it. I found I got results after five weeks of intensive practise. Though Rogo has been dead for some years now, I feel that his book is a wonderful legacy to the subject of Astral Projection.

OK book for learning about OBEs.,
By A Customer
This review is from: Leaving the Body (Paperback)
If you never had an OBE (out of Body experience) before, this book will give you some good information but lacks content. Many ways of doing OBEs are covered, but the coverage seems a little simplistic. I consider this book an average to slightly above average book on OBEs. This being said, I do not consider this book a bad one. It is worthwhile reading if you accompany it by other material.

Great book!,
By A Customer
This review is from: Leaving the Body (Paperback)
This is a great book with several different methods on how to get an Out-of-body-experience. I have had the book for about 3 weeks and allready I've had 3 OBEs! And the author do not get into his personal beliefs in OBEs, and that is very nice so you can make your own!

Brilliant book on the subject!,
By Dicky (USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Leaving the Body (Paperback)
This is a great book on the subject of astral projection. It gives 8 techniques to achieve OBE's which DO work! Tells of mistakes by projectors, gives a summary of everything he tells you. It's idiot proof for sure. Couldn't get more detailed or informative. Brilliant book, which i would give a 6 if i could.I RECOMMEND THIS ONE!!! Make this the first astral projection book you get so you don't have to waste your money on other books...when you can have everything you need to know right in this book!

Still the best book on the subject,
By a reader (UK) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Leaving the Body (Paperback)
The best book this reader has found for a 'grounded' and authentic understanding of astral projection and as well it is highly practical. If you want to add an important spiritual perspective, William Buhlman's Secrets of the Soul is well worth the while.

The best book out there on OBEs,
By Jen D (Colorado) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Leaving the Body (Paperback)
I bought this book for myself when I was 15. By using the techniques it gives I was out of my body the first day, I was pretty shocked. I am now buying the book for my son, who is 11 and has expressed an interest in OBEs. Adolescence and early teens are supposed to be the best times to learn how to leave your body because your mind is not as closed. This book offers different techniques, one is sure to work for you.
How ridiculous that reviewers who can't manage to leave their body call the author a liar.

Excellent book. Style is very straightforward. The author takes a religiously unbiased approach to the subject and shows OBE research conducted at several universities at the time. Every chapter has references at the end. The book arrived in a timely manner and it is in very good condition.

This book basically reviews different techniques from an unbiased research approach. Mr. Rogo comes across as extremely intelligent and well versed. I recommend this book if you don't know much about the history or the different techniques. There are some hidden gems sprinkled here and there as well.
A chapter that talks about diet and astral projection was interesting and it is a piece that I have never seen anywhere else. May be worth the time just for this. Hope this helps

By Cesar Osorio Ramirez "CECE" (FORT LAUDERDALE, FLORIDA United States) - See all my reviews (REAL NAME)
This review is from: Leaving the Body (Paperback)
the author of this book spend pages and pages about experiences of people who has positive obe,but give very few exercises, the point that made mad with this book is that you read and read only testimony and nothing else,is good to read about people who has been succesfull, but is not fair that the entire book is dedicated to thisvery mediocre book! I dont reccommend it |
