A bit lacking,

Wilson's text attempts to study a historical topic which is difficult to frame or approach, and unfortunately doesn't really carry off the task. Wilson's work is generally first rate, but the problems faced here seem simply to have been too great to overcome.
Surprisingly many copies seem to have shipped with serious printing errors, including problems on the cover of the book itself. |
