Michael Cleveland & Flamekeeper tear it up on this CD! Just listen to a few of the samples here at amazon; you'll be hooked! Highlights: "Jerusalem Ridge" (better than I've ever heard it, with a touch of newgrass virtuosity), "My Blue Eyed Darling" (toe-tapping festival material for sure), "Leavin' Town" (MASH it!).
The best description I can think of for this CD is that when you turn on the music, you'll feel like you just stepped into one of the best bluegrass festivals in the country and you don't want to 'leave town' anytime soon!

Michael Cleveland and Flamekeeper are raising the bar for musicianship in the bluegrass genre, and every ounce of their genius is on display on this CD. I had an opportunity to see them live at the 2010 Delaware Valley Bluegrass Festival. I had high expectations and they were exceeded. The Jerusalem Ridge duet might be one of the most amazing live musical performances I've ever seen, but they've managed to capture that same virtuosity on this disc. Every cut is played crisply, and with heart. Of course Michael's fiddle playing stands out--talent like that does. But every instrument and vocalist shines. If you love bluegrass, you must add this to your collection. If you enjoy great instrumental music, you'll be tremendously impressed with Flamekeeper.
