One of the best examples of cave photography,

I am a photographer myself with some 35 years of nature and landscape photography experience, and have recently been cramming for a cave assignment for a new book I am publishing on Arizona. The cave pictures in this new volume will only be in one chapter, but I have very little experience in this field, and have purchased several key texts on the subject, and have reviewed about a dozen more through the library and specialized sources. This volume, "Lechuguilla: Jewel of the Underground," which I ran across at Colossal Cave's book shop, is unquestionably one of the finest works of nature/landscape photography I have ever seen. The challenges of working in a totally black environment, and setting up multiple light sources with precision, balance and creativity is daunting. But Michael Taylor has succeeded to a degree that puts him at the top of his game. The book is without equal in the field, and I commend his extraordinary effort in this very demanding but beautiful cave. I just purchased a new copy through Amazon for myself. All the best to Mr. Taylor. I hope you produce many more beautiful works of art.
