Salad Made Easy,
By Dana Turnoff (Miami, FL United States) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Lectrix 0401 SaladXpress Electric Salad Center (Kitchen)
I cannot praise this item enough! I make gourmet salads without having to manually chop and grate all of the ingredients (and in half the time!). This appliance does everything: grates, shreds, chops, and even spins dry the salad! You can also used it's cutting discs to chop ingredients for things other than salads (I use it to chop nuts for a dessert recipe). In sum, this is a great value and is well-worth the listed price. It is convenient and used frequently. Oh, and I love the anti-skid rubber base that keeps it from sliding away. Highest recommendation!

Oh, the possiblities!,
By A Customer
This review is from: Lectrix 0401 SaladXpress Electric Salad Center (Kitchen)
The Lextrix 0401 SaladXpress Electric Salad Center has such possiblities. However, I did find flaws with the product. First of all, food easily got wedged between the slicer and the lid. Also, you need to hold the button in while the machine is spinning, thereby taking away from the ease of doing something else while the salad is spinning dry. Everytime the lid is lifted, the plugger plops out. So annoying. Also, the chute seems a little too short and too close to the blade. This product could be a handy one with some adjustments to the design. It would be convenient to be able to spin salad dry and hold the baby at the same time. However, the worst thing, once again, about the product is getting food caught between the lid and the slicer mechanism. It would also be dandy to have a seal tight lid to store extra salad. For some reason, it may have been newness, but the motor had a burning smell to it.

SaladXpress,

I have the salad express, and it was well worth the money spent, washing and drying your lettuce leafs is now a breeze, grating cheeses, or slicing tomatoes, radishes, whatever you usually put in your salad, it's all done now with one appliance, the bowl holds a large salad, also you can toss your dressing with this appliance and use a minumal amount of dressing, and all the leafs are coated, saving money over time. It is as important as my steamer, and juicer. Judith
