Format: Paperback
If you are seriously interested in the work of Adam Smith, don't overlook this collection of lectures. They are easy to read, and you will immediately see the origins of many of the ideas that appear in the Wealth of Nations. There is also a wealth of other interesting ideas that never appear in his published work. The game, of course, is to figure out what of these lectures he really endorsed, and what he was simply reciting because he was giving a lecture to students.

The historicism in the LJ anticipates Hegel, though I am confident Hegel didn't get his historicism from Smith. Nonetheless, it is interesting to see an end of history (ala Fukuyama) played out in the 1750s.
