1.0 out of 5 stars Bunch of old guys talking. November 29, 2013
Format:Amazon Instant Video
It starts out with a disclaimer explaining that no Led Zep music or footages were used, and it's true. And the interviews with the fringe elements of the band did little to make it worthwhile.

1.0 out of 5 stars Very Bad January 3, 2014
By C Reno
Format:Amazon Instant Video
There is no Zep music in this! It warns you of that at the beginning, but I thought there still might be a way to make this interesting. I was wrong.

1.0 out of 5 stars waste of time April 13, 2013
Format:Amazon Instant Video
Unauthorized is quite an understatement. Title should add "Uninformative, uninteresting, unimaginative, and unwatchable." Don't waste your time and pick something else.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Rough Diamond Well Worth Viewing September 13, 2014
Format:Amazon Instant Video
Damn the torpedoes (of bad reviews), this is one of the best shows about any band I've seen. Do the production values suck? Yep. Not only is there no Led Zeplin music, they try to make up for this by playing Zeplinesque music sporadically throughout the show, sometimes to the exclusion of hearing the interviewees. Faux psychedelia in the background of each segment's breaker smacks more of boardwalk t-shirts than vintage acid tests. So why 5 stars? Because someone had the good sense to interview people who actually knew the band AND the music scene, someone plotted the path and subject out in a logical and interesting way and presented the assembled stories accordingly. Is it a bunch of old guys talking? Yah, especially the old guy who helped found the Yardbirds and played with Jimmy Page for years in the Dick Clark grinder tour, who knew the set list for Led Zeplin I because it was the set list for the Yardbirds and Led Zep really started (really, name and all) as the New Yardbirds... so the album Led Zep 1 was largely an interpolation of the Yardbirds' pre-existing setlist. There are gems throughout the show, paunchy middle-aged men - who actually figured prominently in the bands of the time and had intimate familiarity with, if not paid positions IN Led Zeps' prequels - share the stories of their old friends and coworkers... 4 lucky ones who became Led Zeplin. Everyone who gave this less than 5 stars should be ashamed of themselves. I'm pretty sure Zep's management didn't authorize this show because it doesn't kowtow to the particular flavor of myth they've assembled for themselves. But to me knowing the humble truths of the band's origins, of the real people behind, before, and with Led Zeplin just adds more to their story. Zep should buy the rights to this thing, clean up the production, add their real music, but keep all the interviews (and most of the narration) just as they are.

1.0 out of 5 stars Don't Bother June 22, 2014
By Ginger
Format:Amazon Instant Video
Between fawning praise from 1960's second tier British musicians, repetitious interviews with members of an imitation band, and bad psychedelic video you might get a still photo of Jimmy Page. Watching UTube is better.

3.0 out of 5 stars Revealing? May 22, 2014
Format:Amazon Instant Video
This rockumentary offers some interesting perspectives on LZ, but having read/watched similar offerings it is unclear what else new is being added here...

1.0 out of 5 stars No Led Zepplin members in movie.
It is just ok, no actual Led Zepp members interviewed. Also no Led Music in sound track. If you an average fan you would no most of the stuff they discuss.

1.0 out of 5 stars Hurts My Hears to Not Hear Their Original Tracks!
Hurts my ears to not hear their original tracks! Had to turn it off. What's the use in doing a biography on a super group if you can't hear they did.
