Book Description

August 1, 2004
As a group, Led Zeppelin were reluctant interviewees, preferring to let their music speak for themselves. Once they could no longer ignore the media, everything came pouring out, especially after the group disbanded and partial reunions took place. Here is their story, as they told it, from the band’s formation through to the death of John Bonham, to the present day.

This review is from: Led Zeppelin "Talking" (Paperback)
This book was exactly what I expected and desired. A collection of quotes that I assume are accurate are nicely arranged in categories, loosely chronological, that gives the reader an insight poorly afforded by some of the other bio publications. Some interesting photos, too. I read this book in two consecutive nights and wanted more. There is ample material on the Led Zep afterlife if the reader is interested. Why not a five? Lack of more info on drugs&debauchery and quotes from Jonesy and Bonzo...certainly no fault of the author...these quotes probably don't exist.
