I am very happy to report that I am 100% satisfied with my purchase.

Mine even came with a compression sack and although it's a heavy sack it works well.

I have not tested it at 40 degrees but in low 50s is has been very comfortable.

I bought this bag for summer overnight trips on the trail. After one season I can report that it has served me well. The material and construction are good. I've had no problem with the zippers binding. Although I'm not especially rough with my gear, I have confidence that it will take much more of a beating than it gets from me.

It packs extremely small and weighs almost nothing. I take this with me when I travel because it's a great option as a "hostel bag" when I get couch space at a friend's house. I have not tested it at 40 degrees but in low 50s is has been very comfortable. I'm a warm sleeper so it would be nice if the toe had a dedicated ventilation flue but I can't lower my rating for a feature that I knowingly didn't purchase.

This bag is nice and small. The bag looks well made and should last quite awhile. I bought this bag for my wife, she is 5'1" and she has plenty of room. I am 6'4" and it was snug on me.

This is a great bag for camping into the fall weather. It was a little tight on me as I am a large guy (6'0" 245lbs 46" Shoulders 36" waist) but overall it is nice and it packs small and light.

When it's stuffed into the sack that it comes with it's a little larger than a football. The bag seem well made. It's very light about 2 lbs. For the price It's hard to beat. The weather here doesn't usually drop below 35 degrees, and this bag should be fine for most of the winter.

I'm gonna get another one for my wife. : )

People who are complaining about this product are just not being realistic. I used it in 20 degree temperatures in Northern Michigan last week and I was perfectly fine. I was wearing thermal pants, a hooded sweatshirt and thick hiking socks. Sure, if you are wearing nothing and depending entirely on the bag for warmth, it may not be the best. But, if you're smart about it, it does a great job of keeping your body heat inside the bag and will definitely work in 45 degree temperatures with no problem. It's also super portable and packs away nicely in even the smallest hiking packs.

Hiking the Appalachian Trail for the first time, I wanted to minimize my pack weight and had no interest lugging around my old military sleeping bag, so I bought this. Not only was it extremely compact, it weighted next to nothing, and served me so well I slept comfortably through a heavy rain storm.

I got this for a summer camp I was helping put on which involved a lot of camping. It's very small (about the size of a football in it's stuff-sack) and light. Great for backpacking. It will keep you comfortable in 55-60 degree weather. Anything colder than that, you had better be wearing warmer clothes or you'll get chilly. On other thing is, I'm 5'7" and it was about perfect length for me. I say anything over 5'10" you might want to get something a bit longer. Overall I was very happy with this. This is something I got for compactness and it suited this need very well. If you're going for warmth, get something else.

performed admirably during my 143 mile AT section hike through NC/TN. Kept me warm, but not too warm. If sleeping in shelters, would recommend a sleeping pad, because the bag (while warm and light weight) doesn't provide much cushion against a wooden AT shelter sleeping platform. With a lightweight bivy, this will be usable well into the fall. Did I mention how light this back is (1.9 lbs with the included stuff sack...and packs to about the size of a nerf football).
