I bought this for my 4 year old for her birthday and now I am back to get it for my 7 year old (the larger size). It is a durable active toy that does not get boring too soon. Above all that, it is made in Italy, which gives me a peace of mind after all those toy recalls lately. If it passed all the strict European standarts,I am sure it is a safe nontoxic toy.

Purchased this for my 4yr old daughter after she tried out a similar one at a play date. We had tried the inexpensive one from a major local retailer but the size & quality were not there. This ball is worth every penny, plus hot pink! She loves bouncing around the house and asks for it first thing in the morning.

As for the title of my review, the box claims it holds up to 300lbs... yes you guessed it I just had to try it, I WANT ONE! I see why my daughter loves it so much, and am giving serious consideration to ordering the largest size for myself.

**UPDATE** it's been a few months, this ball remains my daughter's most used "toy" EVER. She bounce on it day and night (it's become a permanent living room decoration) and it's holding up beautifully. I also did buy myself the large blue ball, and my husband and I both hop around with her. These are great, you can't help but laugh and smile while bouncing on them!

Strong, colorful ball. Perfect size for my 2 1/2 year old. She's still getting the hang of it though. I give it a high recommendation for educational toy because it promotes good bilateral skills, balance and imagination, not mention good exercise!
