suggest you buy replacement tubes right away,
By maemurphy "maemurphy" (Burnsville, MN) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Lee's Kricket Keeper, Large (Misc.)
We bought this to keep crickets for my daughter's bearded dragon. It works GREAT, and is easy to clean. The black tubes are wonderful for ease of dispensing crickets. However, the clear plastic caps are a serious weakness. They break way too easily. We're down to one tube being useable. Fortunately there are replacement tubes available (though not at the local stores, we have to order them). My suggestion is that you purchase a replacement set when you purchase your kricket keeper, so you'll have them on hand. You're going to need them. If not for this pretty serious design flaw, I'd have given this a five star review.

Works great but don't drop tube,
This review is from: Lee's Kricket Keeper, Large (Misc.)
This really works great. The best thing to use is cricket water and cricket food. The crickets immediately hide in the tubes. Here are two tips that will really help you. To OPEN the cap to put back the tube, press on the top by the hinge not lift it or the cap will often come off the hinge. Secondly, don't drop the tube on a hard floor. The clear cap is made out of easily cracked brittle plastic and it will crack. They sell replacement tubes with the cap and that is how you get a cap. The brittle plastic tube cap really is the week point of the cage and is just poor engineering. Well I still like the cage. I cannot see how any cricket can get out unless you don't close the cap or leave the top center window partly open. I later bought replacement tubes and caps and these caps were stronger so maybe they corrected the problem. I keep most of the crickets in a large plastic tub (with 1000) which has paper towel cardboard roils and transfer the soon to be eaten ones to this cage. Also note you should feed and take care of your crickets well. They should be well-fed (GUT-LOADED) before giving the to your pet to eat.

Not Suitable for Small Crickets,
By smartypants "pantsonfire" (HotterthanaHabanjero, TX USA) - See all my reviews

This keeper will only hold fully adult crickets. Small to medium sized crickets escape with ease. The holes in the lid are huge. You might as keep your small crickets in a container without a lid at all - it's that useless.I do like that they sell replacement parts, that's awesome.
