Website is better....,
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: St. Louis Post-Dispatch (App)
Poorly written app, works only in portrait mode leaving a 2" black border at the bottom. In the "News" section, top news photo and title is frozen on top half of screen making it very hard to scroll thru the others. Then, when I did exit the app, my Fire froze, had to reboot and un-install app.

I get my news from multiple sources - STL us usually slower other publications The sport section is not current. I canceled my home delivery because I missed half the papers - but this apps does kind of suck. Sorry.

Unable to view all sections of the paper. Limited access to departments compared to my desktop version. Difficult to read

This allows you to scan through the top stories from the PD in an instant. Not as comprehensive as the full website, but much easier to use. Photo galleries are a plus.

Every time I opened this app it would open but the space to browse articles was only about a half inch tall so immposible to read or navigate.

Never worked,
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: St. Louis Post-Dispatch (App)
This app never worked. I deleted it, and downloaded it again, and it STILL never worked. When I tapped on it, it flipped the screen a few times, and closed. I can't review anything about it, but I hate it since it didn't do what it was supposed to.

I am using this on a 7" Kindle HD. This App could use some work. It does not run in landscape position and in fact it just crashes after showing the splash screen. This app does not use the Kindle back button, but has its own back button that moves around -- I can't count the number of times I have closed the app by hitting the Kindle back arrow. The screen tends to be crowded out by the top story bar so it's hard to scroll through the rest of the headlines. As usual with PD weather, it's rather short but still useful.

The ads load but the actual news content never does. I have installed and uninstalled a couple of times with no change. All I get is the spinning circle that says waiting.

Dreadful App,
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: St. Louis Post-Dispatch (App)
I was excited this app was finally here. Imagine my disappointment when it only ran only in portrait mode; when the ad at the bottom took up valuable space; when the photo at the top took up even more space. did no one take into account that the Fire is only a 7 inch screen? I understand the need for advertising in a free app. But it should only be there when I'm at the main screen. The website is better.
