Pinfish Trap

I found it was hard to find a good quality pinfish trap. I settled on buying two of these. The traps are ok, but they have some exposed metal (at each wire end) and I am afraid rusting will start there and limit the life expectancy of the traps. Time will tell.

Well built and works great. Easy access and bottom door makes removing caught bait easy. Has nice center holder for placing Styrofoam, bread or dry dog food.

did just as I expected it would. entry holes a little small, but I modified them by cutting another segment. highly reccommend this item.

I've not actually used this product yet, but I must agree with the other 5 star reviews. The one flaw I see is that where the wire is cut to make the trap. There is exposed metal that will corrode in salt water and I have no idea what bare metal the fasteners are made. I just dabbed some silicon caulk on all bare metal. I think that will make the trap last longer.

For holding your bait, check out Amazon's Bait Tamer for the best price. Nearly bullet proof in salt water. After a month in the ocean it really gets covered with growth. Hit it with a garden hose, dry, and it looks almost new. Just lug your Bait Tamer in your own cheap bucket.

Of course, Amazon has the best price that is better than the price from Lindy that makes it. Try and figure that one out. Beats eBay as well and every store on Shopzilla.
